Do Facial Breakouts predict Babys Gender?

I have had several friends who agree with me on this. It seems that whenever we are pregnant with a boy our faces seem to breakout more than with a girl. I'm just wondering if this is a true correlation.

I didn't have breakouts, but I did have face masking, where I got heavy pigmentation. it was a lot darker with the boys, and after the last boy, it only faded a little, I look like I have half a tan.

Same thing here. I look like a teenager right now!!!! My complexion was perfect with my now toddler boy!

I didn't vote in your poll because I have only one child, so no basis for comparison, but he's a boy and I had no breakouts.

I'm pregnant with a boy (I suppose you can never be sure, but it seemed pretty darn obvious from the ultrasound ;) ), and my face has been more clear this pregnancy than it has been since I was 11.

My face was bad with both, but the old wives' tale says that it's a girl who makes your skin worse and a boy who makes your face clear. I don't remember the reasoning.

I always have great skin and hair when I'm pregnant. :glare: It's not affected by the baby's gender, though.

I have two boys. With boy #1, my face broke out like a teenager. With boy #2, my skin was more clear than it is now! So for me, no, there was no difference in gender even with a definite difference in breakouts.

Very surprising results...I told dh I was 99% sure this baby will be a girl based on my assumptions. Guess I could be wrong! gasp!

I had breakouts with the girls, but I don't remember any with my little fellow. ;)

I have two boys. Terrible breakouts, especially on my back, during the first pregnancy. None whatsoever during the second. I consumed no dairy products during the second.

I have all boys and I had great skin and hair during the pregnancies. I did have increased dark blotches during this last pregnancy but he was 8 years after any previous pregnancy and I had already begun developing these spots years before being pregnant.

Nope, not true for me.

 

#1 My face was totally and beautifully clear. I had the perfect complexion. Boy baby.

 

#2 My face was horrible! The worst acne and redness I've ever had. Boy baby.

 

#3 My face was so so. Some breakouts, not too many but not clear skin either. Boy baby.

I had two living children -- one boy, one girl. I never had acne or pigmentation or anything else with any of my pregnancies.

But I do have three girls and my normally breakout-prone skin cleared up beautifully during all three pregnancies. That should be some sort of data point.

I don't have girls but with my 4 boys, my skin was just the same. In fact, amazingly clear. I am 17 weeks pg with this one, have no idea what I am having, skin is still clear.

I had no facial breakouts with any of my pregnancies. However, since they are sometimes linked to hormonal activity, it seems kinda plausible that it might make a difference for some women.

I've never broken out during any of my pregnancies, and I'm pregnant with my 3rd boy.

 

I was convinced until this one that food cravings were a sex indicator. I announced at 9 weeks that this was a boy based on my cravings. The ultrasound at 20 weeks says boy, but he's not mimicking the other food cravings I had with the other 2 boys.
