  1. Crap, crappity crap, and oh my crapness fly out of my mouth all. the. time. But no....no Holy in front of it. Because crap is not holy.
  2. There must be some benefit to someone, somewhere, or there wouldn't be a box to check.
  3. ((hugs)) I basically did the same thing with our oldest---just didn't want to fight what appeared to be a losing battle. The good thing is, she grew out of it! Now she likes things Just So. She turned out to be fairly neat and tidy as an adult. Here's hoping it happens for your dd too :D
  4. What a sucky employer! It makes me mad that so many hard-working people are in this position at all, trying to cobble together jobs to get full-time pay.
  5. No, and that's fine. It wasn't really a Thing back in the day. But I wish I'd have been able to go to a self-paced, private Christian school that was open back then. I really lost interest in school after I knew I wouldn't be able to go there.
  6. Mortgage, by far. Stupid high cost of living! Then food. Then sports...and I just don't know how long that will last....
  7. I lose enough hair each day to weave a small rug. If only it were the gray ones falling out, but noooooo..... I'll have to try more iron.
  8. LOL, every time I see this thread pop up, my mind reads it as "Seattle Toilets" and I keep wondering what's the problem with the commodes in the Pacific Northwest
  9. He must have high hopes for you crying out!
  10. It depends on how much money you want to make. Are you looking for a little extra cash in the form of a side-hustle? Or do you want a steady income? Do you need cash now, or are you comfortable building up income at home over time? Think of the talents you already have that people might be willing to pay for. I've done several different things to earn extra money and even thought of a few I haven't tried. I made a list in my post 20 Ways to Make Money Without Getting a Job. There are loads of opportunities for someone willing to jump in and give new things a try
  11. That happens sometimes. I'd think *most* dealerships would be willing to work with you, but there are sticklers who don't feel the need to. When I was doing dealer trades, we drove from AZ to Nevada to do a trade once. That was actually kind of a fun day....
  12. Ask them to do a dealer trade. I'm sure most places will still do those. It's where they find the exact car you want, they call that dealership and swap them for a car that the other dealership will take. Then they have someone drive their car over and swap it out. I used to make extra money swapping cars for dealerships all the time.
  13. Now that I think on it....Pride and Prejudice was probably the rom-com of its day
  14. I'd be very cautious with 18 and 15. There's a lot of maturing (IMO) that happens between 15 and 18, boys and girls. No harm in waiting, and it's good that your daughter isn't pushing it :) Our daughter married the first person she dated, lol, but she didn't date him until she was 19 and he was 24. The 5 year gap BUGGED us at first, but man...he was a great guy. They were truly well suited. Once adulthood hits, age gaps matter so much less than life experience.
  15. Some great suggestions!!! I need to match these with Netflix. My favorite all-time is My Best Friend's Wedding.
  16. I've seen it (and been that person in music!) too---but with my daughter it's different in that she's hurting, literally, all the time. The way her hands are shredded, and yet she goes back for more because she wants to get it right. I do imagine it's similar for dancers because their feet and toes are wrecked and bleeding, no off-season, etc. IMO, it's just a different level of dedication because these young kids/young teens are choosing this despite the pain and no/very few breaks.
  17. LOL, I love your honesty! As to the bolded...I kinda wonder that myself. Makes sense to me!
  18. Not a difference in alcohol content between a beer and what's in a mixed drink?
  19. LOL....so I just thought of a follow-up question.... Everyone who said they enjoy 1 or 2 drinks (whatever)...are you meaning 1 or 2 mixed drinks with hard alcohol in them, or 1 or 2 beers? I think that makes a difference too. Sheesh...I'm kinda nosy.
  20. Gack! Some men might like that  :ack2: :ack2: :ack2:
