  1. You can use any of the free recording apps to record the memory work and then play it in the car. You can use an auxiliary audio cord in the jack if you have that or Bluetooth. Easy peasy! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  2. I'm so sorry. Hugs to you. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  3. I'm an RN student, and we just covered this in my lab. Dark sodas are okay, even though many nurses - including my own nursing instructor who just taught us this! - prefer very clear, non-sugared liquids when a clear liquid diet is specified, but she admitted that was a personal preference. So I think you're okay with cream soda, but check with your (real, actual) nurse just in case. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/clear-liquid-diet/art-20048505 Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  4. I would take it. It sounds like a good fit! Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  5. Is there any way to go to a lab that's closer to home? Especially since it's a simple blood test? I'm sorry you're going through these anxious times - early pregnancy after a loss is so difficult. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  6. We went to my SIL's for Thanksgiving once (ONCE WAS ENOUGH!!!) and she put canned peas on to boil for 20 min. Canned peas are nasty anyway but after 20 min.? Ugh. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  7. I've gone back to nursing school full-time, so I told my family they need to help out around the house. After 12 years of my labor, they need to take some responsibility, too! My husband and I only have one daughter and she's pretty helpful. I did get a sweeping Roomba and a mopping Roomba to take care of the cat hair that accumulates, so they vacuum twice a week or mop once a week - huge help! My husband also bought a better vacuum for the carpets, which the Roomba doesn't handle as well as I'd like, and it's cordless, so it's easy to grab whenever we need to use it. Everyone is also keeping their clutter contained! That makes a huge difference in how you everything looks. We've been keeping up with everything for about a month now and I love it! 8. Yes, I think Jimmy Fallon is a bit of a hot dish... ;) Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  9. My daughter had a '50s party this summer. All the girls dressed up and we served Jello salad, listened to '50s music, and hula-hooped. We did it in the backyard, so I didn't worry about decorations. My dad has a '57 Chevy Two-ten and he was supposed to come give rides, but it was leaking oil. :( It was a fun party with a fun theme! 10. I intentionally trained my cat to act like a dog. He's a black cat and I thought it would be funny if he were my little black Lab. He was incredibly spoiled by me as a kitten, so he loves to please me however he can. He fetches, dings a bell for treats, eats anything, sleeps under the covers, rides in any bag or buggy he can get into, eats tiny Milkbone biscuits and doggy dentasticks, and goes through a puppy-sized Kong every few months. He's beautiful and I adore him unreasonably! Your cat sounds great. :) Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  11. Just keep in mind that disinfectants - even more powerful ones - need time to do their work. Spray and let them sit for the recommended time before you wipe them up. And focus on not spreading bacteria around your kitchen by cleaning from cleanest to dirty - don't while the sink with a dish cloth and then do the counter, for example. 12. Girl, you have SOLD me on it! Add it to the list of things the Hive says we can't live without! :) Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  13. I love that! I think I'll get one - I needed to place an Amazon order that contained an add-on item anyway, so... We found a puzzle piece that the cat had chewed on, eaten, and then vomited up. Then the next day, the same cat vomited on the puzzle itself. We were done with that puzzle then. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  14. I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very special that your children had time with her so close to the end. I think sometimes we want the shield our children from our own grief, but it's okay to let them know how sad you are, to cry, and process your loss together as a family. Since she was so ill and ready to pass, that can make this less of a tragedy and more of a very sad thing that happened. Much love to you. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  15. I think that's awesome. We're hoping to have our daughter start riding our city bus this year. She's done it plenty of times with us, but she's ready to venture out with friends. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  16. Loved it and love Kate DiCamillo - we met her a few years ago and she was wonderful. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  17. You're inspiring me to scrub my shower now! I bought this expensive cleaning system a few years ago specifically for use on Kohler tubs and it did work, but $$$. I recently bought Kaboom, so I've now sprayed and scrubbed it three times and it's almost clean! Still soaking for a bit longer. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  18. I had it about 15 years ago. I felt so awful that I wanted to die. It was horrendous, and I have gotten a flu shot ever since and thankfully haven't gotten sick again. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  19. I once asked a Tupperware saleswoman whether she thought the company would branch out into other materials and move away from plastic and she says, "Why on Earth would they do that?!!" like I was nuts. Oh, you know - market forces...but I didn't press the issue. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  20. There are shapers that are like camisoles - tight camisoles! - but I wear them like a bra and don't need BF access. What about shaper shorts like these? https://www.spanx.com/thinstincts-high-waisted-mid-thigh-short?&camp=CSE:GOOGLEPROD:kw=smYQWwuoB_dm|pcrid|227215703417||pnt3||&gclid=CjwKCAiAy4bTBRAvEiwAFtatHMj4k-gK3q1jfhZd1sSXx1FI7Ah7c1ibyq8Pj9bOR_51kBmBU9LrKhoCHncQAvD_BwE Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  21. That's wonderful! I hope your recovery continues to go well. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  22. We definitely have one! We had one when I was growing up, and I LOVED dumping it out ever so often and routing wrong through the stuff. "Hey! THAT'S where this was!" I do try to organize every few years now, which lasts for a few months... Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  23. Trader Joe's mayo has no sugar as an ingredient. I've also found that I hate my homemade mayo when it's made with olive oil. I use safflower or just plain old canola - much more neutral taste. I use a stick blender in a wide-mouth mason jar. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  24. I've travelled on my own with my child since she was six weeks old. We take a few trips each year - usually just road trips, but sometimes longer-distance train trips, too. She doesn't relish the idea of flying, so we've never done that together. We've gone to rural areas and big cities and everywhere in between. We've rented cars, taken public transport, walked, shuttled, used ferries, etc. We've stayed in hotels, camped in tents, done Airbnb, moved around every night, and stayed put for a week. Now, I only have one child, obviously, so of course it's a little trickier with more, but I echo what someone else said upthread - just do it. You'll figure it out. People are unbelievably kind and helpful and most places are very safe. You'll make great memories together and your kids will see you confidently navigate new areas AND problem-solve when things to awry! I know plenty of women who don't travel on their own with their kids and to each her own, but I think they're missing out on something special. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  25. Have you seen the ImPress press-on nails? I know what you're thinking, but they're seriously amazing! I wear them for a week at a time and they hold up beautifully. They cost about $8 and you get two full sets out of that plus some extra accent nails. I get needing these things. It can be hard to explain, but I like the way I feel when I'm polished. It's for me, not other people. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
