  1. We have a seasonal business, and this is our season, so I'm stuck until December. In the meantime, I'm traveling to the English countryside ;): A Fine Romance: Falling in Love With the English Countryside
  2. Definitely rolling. I tried spraying a garage outdoors once and even that was a mess. I can't imagine doing it in a house.
  3. I think it works very well for certain people, which consists of about 10% of the top money makers in MLMs. The other 90% will not be quitting their day jobs. You would really need to believe in your product and market *relentlessly*. I can't think of anything that I believe in so much that I think everyone needs it and I couldn't get over the knowledge that MLMs really annoy a lot of people.
  4. My husband loves Pratchett, but I've never gotten around to reading the Disc World books. It is always his go-to recommendation!
  5. I think people often forget that it takes time and money to maintain a public restroom. Those are two things many small businesses don't have. OP, I'm sorry your experience was a bad one. I have been disappointed to find out a business didn't have a public restroom, but I just found another one somewhere else.
  6. I saw a baby at the beach last summer that made me experience baby fever for the first time ever. I just wanted to hold her and smell her head so badly :) . Now I know what women mean when they talk about "baby fever". Yes, this. Exactly. I don't want to raise more children. I just want to go back in time, every now and then, and rock *my* babies.
  7. I'm glad your pup is feeling better. We have a dog that got into what seemed like cyclical reverse sneezing that really made him feel horrible for about 24 hours one time. We waited it out and he was fine, but all day he'd go into one those reverse sneezing fits, wouldn't eat, and just kind of slept and moped. Next day, he was fine.
  8. We finally had a chance to watch the 2 episodes that have aired. Wow. It's an emotionally draining show to watch, but I can't wait until next Wednesday. Olivia Colman is so good! I'm having a harder time not picturing her as Sophie from Peep Show than I am Tennant as Doctor Who!
  9. We have been very happy with our Panasonic plasma. We will probably buy another when we finally re-do our basement.
  10. :grouphug: Scary to hear. I would definitely get a second opinion. Your post reminds me that I really need to get in for an eye exam. I am way overdue.
  11. If you can look through the history, find a commonly called number and call it. My phone has a contact named 'ICE' (in case of emergency). That contact has my home phone and dh's cell.
  12. Most spiders and insects are promptly escorted from our home. Mosquitoes are smacked and flies are swatted...unless they are on a screen door I can open and shoo them out. Dh and I both had traumatic childhood experiences seeing neighborhood children pull the legs off daddy long leg spiders :( . We never forgot.
  13. Congratulations to your family :hurray: !
  14. I can still do coasters, but spinning rides are out for me :ack2: .
  15. Okay! I'm pressing on! I sense something may happen soon from what I read today. It all depends on how this book ends if I read the next book in the trilogy ;) .
  16. I asked dh and he just recalls that the artwork in the book is "horrible", as in talentless. He does not recall anything being overtly sexual, but again, *he* found the artwork distracting.
  17. Agreeing to check with your vet's office. When I worked as a veterinary assistant, I also did pet sitting.
  18. Ugh. I feel bad having recommending this book to people here before finishing it. I really enjoyed the first half to three-quarters of the book, but, OMG, I am going to *die* slogging through this last bit. I recently gave the advice that I don't push through a book if I've read the first 25-50 pages and it's not doing it for me. What about when you've read more than 400 pages? I know some here have read it. They are married now and having copious amounts of sex. Is anything else going to happen? Honestly, Alexander was skeeving me out with his wanting to make sure he he was "first" know what I mean? Blech. I received A Fine Romance: Falling in Love with the English Countryside yesterday and I'm really ready to leave Russia and head to England!
  19. Dd uses an albuterol inhaler before sports, when she remembers, but she always keeps it in her bag, just in case. She doesn't typically need it by the end of soccer season because she has built up some endurance. Thanks for sharing this. It would not surprise me if dd was chronically dehydrated. We really have to stay on her to drink :glare: .
  20. :grouphug: I remember her from the Sonlight forums. I just can't imagine.
  21. It's extortion. Do not give her a dime. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I am just incredibly sorry.
  22. I brought this thread up to dh and all he said was, "If he has broken out the duct tape, believe me, he already knows he can't fix it on his own."
