  1. My Dd is sure that Snoke has to be Plageus, or perhaps, Palpatine. Perhaps Plageus or Palpatine is Annakin's "father". Bringing this whole thing full circle, and truly making this a family affair.
  2. My son is on Prozac, 20. He's got anxiety that leads to aggression though. But it doesn't dull him. Just takes the edge off and we were with a behavioralist to work on the behaviors.
  3. Unknown man I usually go the scarf/glove route if they live even remotely in a climate it gets cold, or a warm blanket in neutral colors. Slippers if you can get shoe size. And gift receipt for whatever you buy.
  4. Lots of water, avoid high fat foods. I believe there is a gallstone diet you can follow.
  5. I agree with Sadie and I'd add, can you get a massage? When I'm stressed, my back starts to seize and I can get similar symptoms. If not a massage, a heating pad might help relieve the tension. I'm sorry you're going through the this. Unidentified pain is awful.
  6. There is a Han Solo:The early years in the works. Can't be the same story. Kylo Ren doesn't have a kid. I'm sure Rey will play a huge part but what is their relationship?! Anyway, I think we will have a different story but Ben has to redeem himself in the end. He's a skywalker!
  7. Ben definitely not dead, and think it was a fitting ending to Han. After spending his entire life running, he makes a heartfelt appeal to his son. His estranged son. Oh how I cried. The look on his face. The knowledge. He knew what was coming but he'd do anything for Leia. Oh the pain and sorrow and love. A true connection instead of running. A hero's death.
  8. Yes and yes. Where did she get her mechanical skill, especially specifically the Falcon? Hubby says its from scavenging. I'm not so sure. Dd thinks Finn and Rey may be siblings. Finn was kidnapped from his family, as was Rey...
  9. This is a mix of correct and incorrect info but specifically Ben was not who you said, although you are correct about the who Ben represents. Dd was very upset with the name change. And she knows because she loves those books and was prepared to hate the movie as Abrams has continually said those books are no longer canon and they are not being followed. And she was Jaina for Halloween two years ago and Mara Jade this year. She knows her stuff. My little geek. However, I will say that they I (and she) believe they will play a role in the story,. We are going to see some of it. And she hopes she sees a Mara Jade character.
  10. Space I was wowed. So much to talk about but so late. Dd was the first of us to put together the island vision with Luke's island. Definitely want to know who mom is and where is she? Did something happen with Ben and mom/Rey that turned Ben and forced them to hide Rey? Did Leia recognize Rey when she saw her? Dd says that Leia had a look of recognitition in her eyes, or was it just acceptance of Han's death? And his death. Oh, I cried. I knew as soon as I saw Ben on the bridge. I just knew and the tears just came. The whole move just brought me back to the original. I can't wait to see it again. So many little details. "Chewie, we're home".
  11. Well, I tweak everything based on dd's preferences. Right now she actually does both Medieval Hx and American Hx but she reads fast and well and all.day.long. She loves the book choices and reads them (and sequels) for fun on her own. She does not do everything though. Every Sunday I look at the week's schedule and base what she will work on depending on her schedule for that week. It only takes me about half hour because Emily lays everything out for you so nicely. We do a different science (exploration education) as we needed something more independent. We do art and poetry when, and if, we want to. She does do the history, lit, and geography with modifications as we do do WWS and MCT. Overall, I'd say she does about 2 hours a day on BYL. She does American Hx 3 days a week and Medieval twice a week. The best part is that she loves the choices (she picked both those histories, not me) so she willingly does the reading and (most of the time) the assignments. For example, she's in her room right now reading Rascal on her own. We do plenty outside stuff. She is a Girl Scout Cadette and volunteers with a daisy troop, she dances over 12 hours a week, attends a twice monthly co-op (with homework), monthly homeschool game day, weekly meets with friends, and she still has time to watch all her geek shows. BYL is easily adaptable to whatever you want as long as you let go of the "must do it all" mentality. And for the price, you really can't beat it.
  12. We use WWS1 in 6th grade and Dd is using MCT for grammar and BYL for Lit.
  13. Can't wait! Starting the high school planning soon. Who am I kidding? I've been planning since we started but now I'm really starting starting...or I will once I get a new book!
  14. And drink lots of water. Drink water first thing, water before every meal, everytime you go to put something in your mouth, drink first.
  15. We love our Cutco. MOF, Dd just talked me into getting dh (and her) a second and third. We have been using a chef knife for everything but Dd thought dh would like a paring and cheese knife set they had at Costco this morning. Dh will be thrilled!
  16. My pre-teen son Wanted one so my daughter (who is younger than him) volunteered to be the elf mover. They find it hilarious and it's a bonding thing for them. The daughter has decided we need a girl elf this year. Eve and Elfy. Oh bother.
  17. There is no current Girl Scout swimmer badge however, your local council might have one so I'd give them a call. A troop can also do their own badge but they would come up with the requirements.
  18. Almost all stores will have it at that price. From Walmart and Target to Kohls. And of course Best Buy. I'm hoping Amazon jumps on the bandwagon this weekend.
  19. That's exactly what I would do. :)
  20. I've made my lists and have started stalking Amazon and gottadeal. I have picked up several things either as a lightening deal or things I doubt will go on super slae.
  21. I want to be the grandparent that takes the grandkids on wonderful vacations and sends them little gifts of her travels. I'll probably be the grandparent that reads to them and tells them of far away places she's never been. Sigh.
