Love it!

I'm finding this thread interesting. I will say it is very important to me that my children are internationally minded and foreign language is important to me. With that said I studied French for 7 years and Spanish for four. I used them in a job for three years. I can only recall a few simple phrases 15 years later. Not using those languages meant I lost them. I do believe they are tucked safely in my brain as I occasionally dream in French.

I say this in all kindness. I would never expect to be invited to a party for their kids baseball team if my kids were not on it.

We will likely do SOW 3/4 for 8th grade. I'm going to round it out with a lot of autobiographies and historical fiction. Having her write as output.

We are using both for middle school. My dd will use it 6-8 and DS 5-8 adding in JAG the first year. It is not our only writing program. We are also using IEW. My plan is to do IEW first semester and BBR second. I really like the ease of scheduling with AG.

I do a lot more than is necessary. I treat it like a yearbook. The best work from each subject - tests, writing assignments, etc. I also include field trips, art projects, extra courses. It usually fills a three inch ring binder. Lots of list too.....curriculum, books, videos, field trips and so on.

My MIL didn't smile in any photos. In fact, she actually scowled. It just makes her look bad as her behavior is forever documented in our wedding album.

Does anyone have experience with any of the t home vision training programs?

Sounds like you live in my neighborhood. It's the same way here. What drives me crazy is the constant interruptions. I solved it by putting up a cute no soliciting sign.

Strawberry Girl. We've started it twice and never get passed chapter three. I think it's going to end up in our sell pile.

If I was to use BA can I use the chapters out of order or does it affect the story line?

Would it be too much to use both? Our dyslexic DS is behind but progressing faster now. I think he would like BA. Would it be something you could do once or twice a week in addition to MM or is it more of a full program in itself? Thank you.

We did geography this year and I have a 4th/5th grader. They got a lot out of it. There understanding of the world changed dramatically.

Our house is stucco painted a sandy color. We have an enclosed lanai off the back that's made from aluminum and screening.
