  1. Hi Deb!! :tongue_smilie: ;) I hadn't said hi in a while so I thought I'd leave a message on your page. :D Hope you are doing well!!

  2. I didn't recognize you with your new avatar and you changed your signature! It took me a moment to recognize you so I thought I'd say :seeya:. I hadn't seen you posting much in the last while. Hope you are doing well. :)

  3. Gretchen! long time no see on here! :grouphug: How are you doing? And the girls? :grouphug:

    1. Gretchen in NJ

Hello. If you respond to this, I am not sure that I'll be able to find it since I am not sure where I am.

  4. Thank you!! I was just curious what the TM included and if it was worth it. Sounds like the student book is sufficient. Besides, I'm not one to just use one book anyways. Thanks again!

  5. Saw your post on the Short Course Astronomy book you're using. Did you use the TG as well or just the student text?

  6. Hey there! How've you been? :grouphug:

  7. :seeya: I am reading your thread about the gifts for your kids. I just wanted to say that I totally get where you are coming from. Dh and I try to do really cool gifts for our kids, and I get excited to give them this really neat stuff. However, we have a family member who is single and quite wealthy who is always out to out do everyone. In fact she once told me that her mission is to be the cool and favorite aunt who gets the best gifts. Even if that means trying to out do mom and dad. :glare: It's frustrating. There's not much point to my message  other than to say, I understand where you're coming from. :grouphug:

  8. Can I bug you again? I ran into an old post of yours while looking more on the topic of writing in science. Would you be willing to share a link?

  9. Hi! I love your ideas for WWS that you shared on the thread today. We just happen to be on Week 11 Day 4 and I was wondering if you would be willing to link me to the Ivan the Terrible video so we could watch it. Dd is very interested in the topic and I can see her really enjoying a quick vid or two. I did a search on youtube but several came up and I'd rather use one that someone else has enjoyed. :) TIA

  10. I'm revisiting my desire to purchase Exploration Education. I just reread your review on an old thread of mine & wanted to ask if you used the Elementary, Standard, or Advanced level with your ds? Thanks!

  11. Thanks again for the info!! I appreciate your time in sharing your knowledge and experience with me. I could not find 3 courses that were similar in price to make it worth ordering. Instead, I got the course by Hale you recommended and bought the download version using a $10 off coupon. $10 for a course is pretty good. :D Thanks again!

  12. I hope you're still online. Thanks for your recommendations on courses. I'm interested in getting the one you mentioned (for myself): Greece & Rome: An Integrated History of the Mediterranean

Can I get away with the audio version or do you think it's worth springing for the DVD?

  13. Hi! I started a thread asking about AG dolls for my 7yo. I know you have several of them and are quite knowledgeable and was hoping you'd be willing to weigh in for me. I'd appreciate it if you would! Thanks! Jane

  14. Any luck on the White Kingfisher? I used google to search the WTM boards for opinions on the Oxford series. Here's a link to my search results, if that helps. I'm hoping this pans out. I've officially spent WAY too much on ancient history. :glare:

  15. Moby Dick (sorry Bill) made me want to shoot myself. Middlemarch drove me to drink, and I like Brit Lit. Ayn Rand causes convulsions, except for Atlas Shrugged, which I consider Ayn Rand Lite.

I did read the first 5 pages of Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Then I realiazed there just wasn't enough Captain Morgan in the world.

    OMG I think I love you. :001_wub:

    I'll toast to this. 2.gif

I'm cracking up. You rock! :D

  16. Hi! What ISBN did you order? I used to spend a long time hunting down an affordable copy of that book. :tongue_smilie:

Oh & I'm so sorry. I have not made it to the PO yet. So busy. :svengo:

  17. Whoa. Wait a moment here. It's not in alphabetical order?!?imotion20.gif. What am I missing here?

Ok, I was thinking of getting both too. I'm glad I'm not too crazy to be considering it.

  18. :seeya: I'm looking for a good thesaurus and upon doing a search, your name came up a few times. :D

What are you using? I saw a post where you were going to get Roget's then you decided against, but another post made it sound like you did get the 7th ed in the end. What about Rodale's Synonym Finder? Do you know if it is that worth having as well or instead? Thanks!

  19. Hey! You never came back with your TOG binder info. :toetap05: I'm flailing here. F. L.A.I.L.I.N.G.

  20. Love the newest avatar! Your little man is adorable! :001_wub:

  21. :seeya: I know tone doesn't come across too well on the forum so I wanted to make sure that you knew my reply to your post was sincere. :grouphug: I do appreciate you mentioning that there have been many times when I've felt really overwhelmed. You're definitely right. Trust me, I'm not in a hurry to grow my family at the moment. I just don't want to be done either. :001_unsure: Thank you for your care and concern! You're a real sweetheart!

  22. Hi! Thank you for your post on my thread. It was very informative & supportive. I'm wondering if you would be willing to take a moment to PM me your meal schedule that you have? I realize I won't likely be able to copy it out verbatim but I sure would love to see how a 4 day rotation for all three meals looks like. I know it may be a lot of work for you to type it out, but I would be so very grateful. Thank you again!

  23. Ack. You were right. :( The reason I lost my taste for coffee is my gallbladder. Sigh. (Can I just add here that I hate that you were right. ;)) Thank you for the heads-up though. I appreciate it... even though I'm miserable now. lol

  24. Ugh. I'm sorry that it's not working out for you as you'd hoped. That stinks. :( Have you found anything he likes better? Miquon, perhaps? We're going to be starting C in the fall. I'll be doing it along with SM2a/b.

Start back up already? Hell........ no. Nope, nope, nope. I'm not even thinking of starting up again until September. November, if I could. lol

I'm enjoying this time off!! Lots of snuggles and cuddles and time at the beach. Bliss. :) Besides, I'm too busy watching Lost in the evenings with dh (neither of us had ever seen the show before) to have time to look at what to order for next year. :001_huh:

  25. Hey, you're finally using RS, huh? Was the wait worth it? Does little Rocker-tot-dude love it as much as you'd hoped he would? :)
