  1. :iagree: I picked other, I wouldn't call anything I do regarding shower cleaning regular.;) I will add though that we do live in an extremely dry area and have no issues with mold whatsoever, never ever.:D
  2. I've always just heard to never discuss religion or politics, I guess everything else is fair game.:tongue_smilie:
  3. I'm so glad you said so, lol, my oldest went last year (she doesn't live nearby) I was a bit embarrassed but she went with a younger cousin (9). I do hope she doesn't go this year.:)
  4. :iagree:Last presidential election I participated in political message boards, I was totally sucked in. I have avoided it all this time, TV too. Ahh... I think the old fashioned idea of not discussing religion or politics very wise.;)
  5. I'm on my second one, I love the Town and Country vans. I had my first one until it had over 200,000 miles on it. We then got a Chevy Express, then a Mazda5 (was nice but too small in the end) which we just traded in for our second Town and Country. I love it and should of just got another one in the first place!:D It is smooth, quiet, very comfortable, decent mileage, roomy, ahh...
  6. Since I must choose I'll pick cat but we have almost always had both and we've had many other varieties of house pets as well; hamsters, various birds, rabbits, and lizards. I think that's all.:D
  7. We did it once. All I can say is double trouble and never again! We love them but, no, never again!
  8. I've been wondering how you are since you haven't posted.:D
  9. I'd be really tempted but I've always had a pooch and of course always hated it!
  10. :iagree: And with me the more babies the more pre-labor and I had a couple fairly fast labors (less than 3 hours and I was also at 4cm with those babies) so when you are fairly sure labor has started get thee to a hospital pronto! May God be with you!
  11. Ours either! I'm enjoying these last warm days. It will be too cold soon enough. I'd pass out if I saw snow already. I should not get any for another month at least.:)
  12. We are getting started in archery too. Thank you everyone for the information.:)
  13. I'm so happy for you and her! I know you must be overjoyed! My 7 year old doesn't talk to people outside our home, except my parents, not even dhs parents or other relatives. She will talk to her cousins and sometimes other children. I would like to know more about awards for speaking.:)
  14. Usually not more than once for scouts and the library.:) If we are out more than a couple of days a week I go nuts because I start to feel like I'm falling behind on everything and that my home and farm are falling apart.:tongue_smilie:
  15. I've never used an egg cup or eaten a soft boiled egg but we eat hard boiled eggs all the time, typically in hand with salt and pepper. I've seen an egg cup, only once that I can remember. I was playing at a cousin's house and we had one and were pretending to wash out our eyes with it. I think I only realized what an egg cup was when watching a movie and seeing an egg in a cup and the person doing the tap around the center thing for getting it peeled. Sorry I would be astonished (not in a bad way) to see such a thing on a picnic, but I've never even seen it IRL. I've never even seen a soft boiled egg IRL.;) Probably because my mother can't stand a yolk unless it's throughly rubberized. I never even heard of soft boiled eggs until I was an adult.
  16. I've read this whole thread.:tongue_smilie: our family pretty much mimics yours. We have our six acres and six kids and our weekends are typically spent at home working on the farm. We have our own park and the mall is two hours away. If one of us goes somewhere (I'm talking errands here, not park, beach, nor mall) the kids are usually split, but not always. My husband doesn't have hobbies that are not related to farm and family in some way. On the rare occasion of events like the OP listed; camping, trips to inlaws, etc. those things are done as a family. I get my alone time when others are sleeping.:) To be honest I'm surprised (not in a bad way) that for some it happens a lot but I guess though I love to stay home I also don't want to be left behind on a trip.:) Maybe it's just because it is a rare thing for anyone in our family to take a trip. It's a different life but it works for us and we love it.:) So to answer the OP never and I'm fine with that. It is not a dad can't/won't have the kids by himself (I do take an overnighter myself about once a year) but neither one of us take all the kids and leave the other parent at home. Right now I'm posting from my parents and we're all here, saw the Tut exhibit yesterday and went to the top of the space needle.:D
  17. :iagree: My kids have never been forced to do something the first day!
