  10. :grouphug: I know that's what I need to do too! I decided that I would wait till dds go back to college. Trying to juggle gluten free, low carb and the holidays is just too much for my poor little addled brain right now! Good luck with it and let us know how it goes. 12. We looooooovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee persimmon pudding! Had it for T'giving and are planning a big pan for Christmas, too. If they're American persimmons, here's the recipe we use: 2 c sugar 2 c pulp 2 eggs 2 c flour 2 c buttermilk 1 t soda 1/2 t cinnamon 1 t vanilla 1/2 c butter Mix all ingredients and pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Test w/knife for doneness.
  13. I think I would seek a second opinion. I'm so sorry for the frustration & uncertainty :grouphug:

  19. I'm sorry I haven't read all the posts but just wanted to throw in Rose-Hulman. Oldest dd is a junior in computer engineering. #1 undergraduate school in engineering 13 years in a row by the Princeton Review. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. She loves it there and the individual attention is fantastic.
  20. I know some you power shoppers out there are up to showing your shopping prowess! Here goes: 89 year old widowed FIL who lives alone, doesn't drive, is losing his eyesight and says he doesn't need anything. I throw down the gauntlet-will you accept the challenge???????
