  1. Ours are still debating between Little Bo Peep (dd9) lost her sheep (dd5, dd3, ds 8mos.) or being critters: dd9 ladybug, dd5 butterfly, dd3 bee, ds frog. They have all these costumes in the dress up box so it is up to them to decide.
  2. Haven't heard of anything like this and I would agree that this should be part of the class- teaching them these skills. On a side note- eek! Dodge ball brings back memories of how hard the boys could throw and how long the pain lasted from being hit. Hope things have mellowed down in school some since then.:glare:
  3. Virginia- Lots to see and do, very pretty Western Oregon- very busy but great shopping opportunities Eastern Oregon- Lots of outdoor activity options, small towns Favorite is E. Oregon- typical born here, left at the first chance I had, and now came back to raise my family here.
  4. Ours is up. The girls had a "box slumber party" so I shared a couple pictures of their fun. Have a great Wednesday!
  5. We use Aveeno. Eucerin is good but it is so greasy that we didn't like it.
  6. It might bother some that if they like a program and see that it has failed so many students (local ps testing results prove it) then that is a direct result of the efficiency of the program, therefore knocking your opinion of the product down a notch. But in reality any program can fail one and succeed tremendously with another. It is more in the way it is implemented and taught, IMO.
  7. We choose not to because sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Not enough evidence to make me want to do them yearly. Like last year- they vaccinated for the wrong strand of flu and it was worthless. It's ultimately a guessing game if they will predict the right strand that will go around.
  8. Have put wood flooring in the kitchens of two homes now. Have no regrets after 9 years and we still love them. They go in quick and easy, are easy to clean, and look nice. Good luck with your decision!:001_smile:
  9. I had PPD with my second child and I am still certain that if they recommended giving me capsules of my placenta I would not have done it. It is all a matter of opinion. I think way too much into things to be able to ingest a placenta. I can't twist it in my mind to make it anything other than a placenta!
  10. Oh my gosh!!! You people are serious? This is ucky, so very wrong in so many ways!!
  11. I'm too rural. I have had four kids in the past 9 years and nobody offered me my placenta. So out of pure curiosity do they put it in a jar, bag, or what?:glare: I am envisioning you being wheeled out of the hospital with a bag of placenta on your lap. Or if you home birth do you have your husband run and grab a large zip lock baggy to put it into the freezer? Now I'm going to go to our homeschool mom's night out and start a conversation about who has their placenta in the freezer! Wow! Apparently I live in an isolated area!
  12. Hi Stacy! Thanks for the reply. As much as I wish CLE LA would work for her I don't think it will. Thank you for giving me some other options to look into, I'm off to do that. Have a great day!

  13. ...pumped gas at a gas station, flown in any aircraft, or been bitten by a snake. I have: worn a wedding dress, had braces, broke bones, had babies in a hospital, discharged a fire arm, swam in the ocean, skinny dipped, ate sour cream, been to California, driven a motorcycle, and been asked "will you marry me?"
  14. I went to the site and right on the front page they have a sign up form for it. I wonder why it isn't automatic if you order from them? Oh well, mine should be on it's way now. I love RR!!!
  15. what work do you give grades on? Daily work? Quizzes and Tests? Only Tests? Some other combination? If you grade on daily work do you first give them an opportunity to correct it and then grade it, or grade it first then have them correct it?
  16. I've ordered from RR for years and have never received a holiday and gift catalog. Do you special request them?
  17. Ours is up. The gnats take over this time of year so they took the photo spot today. Happy WW!
  18. Thanks to all of you for the suggestions. Cindy, thanks for breaking it down for me and Merry thanks for posting the link to your blog so I can check All About Spelling out. I am off to research these and hopefully find a match for us. Thanks again!
  19. Let's hear what your absolute favorite spelling program is and/or what's the best way to teach it. I'm in need and want to hear what the hive thinks.:bigear:
  20. It states PLL is for second and third graders. Any suggestions for first grade?
  21. Krista aside from the reflux and intolerance you just described my 7mo. old to a "T". He has his two bottom teeth, rolls everywhere, is usually always happy, and is a blessing to us. Doing good here.
