  1. Speed Queen top loader. I had nothing but problems with my Whirlpool front loader.
  2. I always took a notebook and pen to counseling sessions. I was often given book recommendations, so it was helpful to be able to jot them down.
  3. Joy's favorite is Key Lime Pie Simon -Butter Pecan Theodore - Vanilla Bean Alvin - Cookies and Cream Faith - Mint Chocolate Chip Ram Man - never met a flavor he didn't like.
  4. I voted vanilla, but if I could eat whatever I wanted and not have a bad reaction, it would be cookies and cream.
  5. I just received a message that the author of Math Lessons for a Living Education (Angela O'Dell) will be taking down the currently free math books on her site on the evening of Saturday, July 11. She has found a new publisher and will have to remove them. http://www.mathlessonsforalivingeducation.com Hope this helps!
  6. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. :grouphug: Stay strong and keep breathing in and out.
  7. That is definitely a wonderful blessing!
  8. Ceiling fans, many birds singing, cars traveling along the road in front of our house, lambs baaing, ewes' deeper baas in answer, chicks peeping.
  9. All American History also seems to fit what you're looking for.
  10. Just saw this. Adding my prayers for healing. :grouphug:
  11. If you are ok with Christian curriculum, mathlessonsforalivingeducation.com has free curriculum downloads that are Charlotte Mason based and use simple manipulatives. We combined it with McRuffy.
  12. I don't know if this has been posted or not, but Layers of Learning is having a 30% off sale on years one and two. If you purchase both full years in PDF, you get 30% off both. The total for two years of curriculum comes to $107.60. Use the coupon code SUMMER2015 The coupon does not apply to the Year Three units currently available. Just thought this might help someone!
  13. We have been without a house phone for almost a month. Our old company was terrible, so we decided to switch services. It took two and a half weeks longer to get it up and running. As of 7:30 last night, we were good to go. No calls last night. This morning the phone rings. It's a company asking if we want to switch to a different phone company because our service is too expensive. Dude! I just got it switched over yesterday! I haven't made my first call yet, let alone received a phone bill! Half an hour later...it rings again. Wrong number. Someone asking for Wolf. I thought of Imp, of course. Perhaps it was her infamous MIL. Tell me why I was so anxious to get my phone up and running again?
  14. Prayers for you, your dh, and your son and daughter are being said. :grouphug:
  15. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
  16. I keep a spray bottle on my nightstand. If I get too warm, I spritz myself from head to toe and allow the ceiling fan to work its magic. This trick has never failed me yet. I hope you find relief very soon!
  17. She is lovely! Hoping her mama becomes more peaceful and calm. Congratulations!
  18. What a great family picture! Love the doggy smiles.
  19. We only have a little over 3.5 acres, so your spread is definitely huge! I could not imagine taking care of 78 lambs! But they are so stinkin' cute.
  20. My reason for bumping this thread was that I found a couple new additions to our small flock this morning. One of our ewes surprised us. She was a first timer and actually carried triplets, but one was stillborn. All three were little black ewes with white markings on their faces. Still trying to share their cuteness via photo posting, but I can't get it to load. I keep getting the message that the file is too big.
  21. I want to upload a picture from my ipad, but it says the file is too big. How do I do this? I have cuteness to share!
  22. I can't find my normal camera that has pictures of the sextuplets on the memory card, but she was able to feed four of them comfortably. We fed the remaining two and supplemented a couple others. She is a great mama, but we sold her this past fall because she was too prolific for us. She never had fewer than quads.
  23. I was praying he'd surprise everyone and make it home earlier than estimated. Your news made my day!
