I do not know what you currently use. My boys have learned most of their vocabulary with Wordly Wise. They really enjoy it and look forward to doing their lessons.

We are having roasted chicken, baked sweet potatoes, rolls, and salad. I might make brownies for dessert as well.

I do not mind if anyone wears shoes in my house. However, my SIL requires everyone to remove their shoes at her house. The thing is, she has a cat that sheds like crazy and you take three steps into her house and your socks are covered in cat hair. We no longer visit their house because the cat hair is hard to get out of the laundry. My husband and son have asthma and the cat hair really irritates them.

I want everyone to help plant a garden.

The key is to "shock" the lungs. Serve soup, popsicles, hot tea, ice cubes, etc. Expose to steam and cold air. Our second son is 10 and has croup really bad every couple of years. We have learned to notice the signs of it coming on and try to stop it before it gets bad. Setting up a tent with a humidifier inside really helps as well.

I started having problems with my gallbladder when I was 16. After five years of suffering I finally had mine taken out two months after I had my first child. Pregnancy and bad gallbladder definitely do not go well together but it will be a benefit to her and the hospital staff to know that she has had problems. It should allow them to make some better decisions for her during labor. I wish her the best of luck and hope that she feels better soon.

Have a pup tent set up to allow for a different "room" for them. Allow them to assemble their own snacks. Let them help with making homemade playdoh. Lots of crayons and paper- a big roll of newsprint end rolls is always a hit. Have action songs to keep them moving. Allow for downtime with music, picture books, or a movie.

Our local library had their's last week. We went the first day and got two big bags full. We went again the second day for half price deals and came out with another three bags full. The kids think it is so great to get to dig into all those books

I am another one who has decided to join in again. I was on several years ago before the boards changed but have been a lurker since.

While I would not be offended, I would also not view the house if it was a requirement. I always wear heals or boots. Shoe covers do not work well with heals. I also want to walk on the floors and feel how they give under my normal shoes. I spend all of my time in the house and want to be comfortable on the floors I am walking on. I have four kids and would wonder if the floors stain or scratch easily and if that was the reason for the requirement. I would not mind a pleasant request but would mind a requirement. We are beginning to look for a new home and always wipe our feet and make a point of being respectful- the same as we do when visiting anyone's home.

I am planning to read various US geography and history books. I would also like to get through a Beverly Lewis series and John Grisham's recent book.
