Well....I know from personal experience that such things happen to children in PS too....often in fact. And you learn to deal with it.... HOW, is determined on an individual basis. My kids have had the same opportunities for socialization and my #1, #3 and #4 children have absolutely NO problem making friends....while my #2 has nothing but problems in that department. I highly doubt sending them to a public school would change that at all....

Married 13 years on September 16th...:lol: We are both Gryffindors....as are 2 of our children...with one being a Ravenclaw and the other a Slytherin.

I just have an internal chant going on in my head of, "and this too shall pass..." over and over again....because, it is the truth....it WILL pass...we have had soooooooo many ups and downs in our lives....and sometimes there is even good that comes out of those bad times.... and bad that comes out of the good! You just never know....so the only thing left to do is just wait it out.... trying not to have a nervous breakdown while you are 'in the moment' is about all you can do....:D

But those are all criminal acts.....why wasn't he CHARGED if there was evidence against him? Had he been charged and convicted of these crimes no one would have needed to fire him. ETA....not saying he didn't do these things...just wondering WHY he wasn't charged.... As for the taser part.... even the boy said it was something he wanted to do....the OP made it sound like it was an act of child abuse. Very misleading IMO. Bottom line...the guy is a menace from all reports....and MANY of the things they are charging are actual laws being broken....so, again, I want to know WHY wasn't he charged?

Other than the abortion issue....what is it that you disagree with? Is it the equal pay? Is it the right to work without having to deal with sexual harassment? Is it when girls want to play "boys" sports? Is it the issues of women in the military? Just a few off the top of my head.... I am genuinely curious as to what issues you have...

I don't really think that is a fair assumption.... since they do not live in OUR era...and the era THEY lived in was a very very different one. And the abortion procedure was a very very dangerous one. I would not even begin to assume what they would or would not believe today....but regardless of that....I don't think that THEIR beliefs on this ONE topic makes them any better than their predecessors.

Since I happen to believe that the life of the women outweighs the POTENTIAL life of the unborn...that really does not equate for me. I can not disagree more with your stance that life is not valuable unless it is valuable at every stage. Nope, just can't see it. As for the second paragraph....I would suspect your friend feels the way she does because she is alive and cognizant....something she wasn't as a newly formed fetus. Which is when she would have been aborted had her birth mother chosen to do so.

UGH! You are soooo lucky! My 10 year old has had crushes for several years already....luckily her 'true love' is a boy that lives a couple thousand miles from here....so she considers herself "taken" and *I* consider myself LUCKY! :lol:
