  3. I purchased both when beginning AAS 1 with my 7 year old and am glad I did. It depends on the child, but you should move through quickly. We started the last week of January and completed it today. We both really like the program. Good luck!
  4. We have Spelling Power, but I am currently using AAS with my 2nd grade ds. I like Spelling Power and plan to begin it with him around 4th grade. Right now AAS is a wonderful choice for us. He is learning the spelling rules, building confidence and we both really like the program. I have read of others who have also started with AAS and followed with Spelling Power with great success.

  8. Does anyone feel they need to, or it is better to, use them together? My ds has been doing very well with the FLL and will be finishing Level 2 (2nd grade) in a couple of weeks. But.... we just completed WWE #1 last week and are just moving into WWE2. Does anyone see any problems with this? I have looked ahead at WWE2 and it covers a lot that I do not feel he needs to miss. Your thoughts are appreciated! :grouphug:
  9. We use Shaklee Optiflora, and I consider them the best. They offer a two part Prebiotic and Probiotic system that is excellent. http://ewing-enterprises.myshaklee.com/us/en/products.php?sku=80638
  10. We read parts of Alice in Wonderland this year, and all of Wind in the Willows. My 2nd grader (7 yo) enjoyed Wind in the Willows the most. I also considered Black Beauty but decided to wait, so I am looking forward to reading the responses. : -)
  11. We enjoy Delta Education's Science in a Nutshell. Yesterday there were even a couple on the For Sale board. Good Luck! http://www.delta-education.com/siansplash.aspx?subID=5&menuID=17
