we are downsizing and I have been trying to go through things around here. I have boxes (literally boxes upon boxes) of books that I am trying to list here and there on the forum to sell. I hate to part with them but we just don't have the space now. My house looks like a storage unit right now as I try to go through clothes and decide which books and furniture will have to go. :confused: Sorry that I don't have any great advise, but I do understand. :grouphug:

I would notice one here or there. I started coloring it when I was 22 with semi-permanent color. I am 40 now. If I didn't color my hair I would be more than 50% gray. :confused:

who is in 5th grade.....we have taken a break from Wednesday night activities for a while. The "mean" girls have been noticed by adult leaders who are "trying to work it out." Several kids have stopped coming due to this "mean" group. I wish I had a better answer. I don't think that I will "toughen-up" my daughter by making her go. It will just make her more miserable. We have just recently experienced this situation (last 3 months). I am definitely open to other home schooler's wisdom on this type of drama.:confused:

Take some time to do fun things and give yourself a break. Don't beat yourself up over how you feel. You are a human being and we all get tired. :grouphug:

I began learning to read 35 years ago in kindergarten using sight words. I didn't learn spelling rules or phonics rules until I was in college working on my teaching degree.....sad, but true. No wonder I struggled with spelling as a student. ;)

She uses red and white on Valentine's day. Green on St.Patrick's day. Pastels on Easter and in the spring. Green and red during the Christmas season. She has really enjoyed hers. One day I would like to have some too.;)

congratulations!!!!! "Two jobs"can be hard, but very do-able since it is temporary. My husband has had two jobs on and off and it gets hairy sometimes. I surely understand the feeling of starving for adult conversation. That is what draws me to the forums sometimes.;)

Just a caution: This year was my first with TOG. I don't know anyone personally who uses it, just read great things on this forum about it and thought I'd love it too. I think I would have liked if..... I had not tried to do so many things and If I had not tried to use so many books. I way over scheduled and it made for tons of stress between the planning and trying to work it all into our day. Remember that it is a buffet and choose to do what will work for your family. If you don't mind planning your days from the choices that are provided it will work. That being said, I am planning on using something different in the fall....less planning on my part will work better for us.
