  1. Ingest garlic and lots of water. Cut out sugar and caffeine.
  2. Thanks again for the input ladies. I'm thinking these are good ideas to bring before our women's ministries/pastor in order to help folks in church who are going through this.
  3. I have found Natural Calm (magnesium) to help. If I see I'm going into one of those cycles where I'll be waking in night, usually around 4:00/4:30, then I take it for a few nights. Melatonin can help too, but I found Natural Calm helps more. https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Vitality-Magnesium-Organic-Raspberry/dp/B00BPUY3W0?th=1
  4. Stay at home mom is going through divorce. Started new job in last month, moved to another home with her kids so a lot going on. Closest family is 3.5 hours away. What are some practical things to do for her? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
  5. Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones is a very basic strength workout. $10 at walmart/amazon. Something cheap and doable for all until you can figure out what/how much you want to do.
  6. My biggest pet peeve. Flogging is in order. :cursing:
  7. If your phone records are ever subpoenaed nothing on your phone, text, email, camera roll, etc. is off limits.(don't ask) It would be safer to use a real camera.
  8. When I learned the 'trick' it speeded up the getting it done stuff around here. Trick? Walk around with his cordless drill and ask him if I have the right battery or bit thingy in it to do the job. He gets right on it. sssshhhhhhh.
  9. It was on my list of 'Things future husband must be' and I have been grateful, more times than I could list here, that I didn't back down on that. My dh can fix ANYthing, build anything, make everything last longer. Cars, computers, houses, etc. Yep, keep buying those tools.
  10. Hyland's Children's Allergy(liquid) is great. Hard to find and a little pricier but no drowsiness and no anxiety/jittery stuff.
  11. We have made many trips from Michigan to Texas and a round-trip Michigan, Mount Rushmore, Texas trip all with 7 kids, 3 being teens. Maybe because we had the Mazda before (tiniest minivan know to man) but we've had plenty of room for those trips not using trailer or cartop carrier. DH does all our maintenance and doesn't have problems. Some things are tight but doable. Motor is a Ford motor if I'm not mistaken.
  12. We have a 2008 Sedona. Love it. Gas mileage equals past Mazda mini vans. More space than a Mazda.
  13. I could have written your post as my own. I ended up not getting married until I was 30 but the rest of plan I get. Having a child at 42 has prolonged the SAHM part of the equation but would love to be a SAHW. I loved my life from 19-30, but this is the life I've wanted since I was 12.
  14. What year did you graduate from high school? 1982 What kind of music did you/do you listen to? Then? Country 1984-2015? Christian Now? Christian and Country. :001_rolleyes: looks like I've come full circle. What's your forecast for today? We're supposed to see a little sun today and high 41. Sun, any sun, would be nice.
  15. Thanks everyone. With this info dh has figured out that, minus an app, he won't be able to do group texts. Thankfully this is just our phone for trips where I everyday phones don't work. Only use it a few times a year.
  16. Thanks for the info. I'll have dh look into that.
  17. On dh's tracphone (smart phone with data, text, minutes) he can SEND group text but no one sees it as group text and then responses come back as separate new text. Are we missing a setting or is this outside Tracphones capability?
  18. Hhhmmmm. NO! Although someone brought their 2 yr old to church yesterday being pretty positive the child has hand, foot and mouth. They didn't let kid in nursery but still!!! Stay home. btw. Sorry you're sick. :(
  19. Many libraries are starting to have 'Fine Forgiveness Day." What they really want is to have their stuff back. =) Following is the ad in the library newsletter. You can talk to your library director about instituting this at your library. Call or stop in anytime during regular library hours to clear overdue fines from your account. Please note: items must be returned first, and fines forgiveness does not cover fees for lost or damaged items, nor does it cover the $10 non-refundable collection agency fee.
  20. I've noticed this trend in my circle of people. Strangely enough the trend is spread from one end of the country to the other. So not a case of 'seeing' other people doing it. I've seen an up-tick in women willing to leave their children as well as their husbands.
