  1. Thank you. It helps to have a handy husband. . . just takes a while (6 years) to get him on board. Now he loves it. It has held up EXTREMELY well except around the knob we use most. We did not do a top/clear coat. We also replaced that counter with a butcher block counter top.
  2. No way would I paint those. I did paint mine but went from 50 year old plywood to adding trim and painting.
  3. I often got strange rashes at that time. Never got good diagnosis. I finally decided I was allergic to my own hormones.
  4. No idea, though my mom, after multiple antibiotics for uti's, had many of your symptoms. Are you hydrated? Cut sugar & caffeine. I personally would be eating minced garlic (my go to in any circumstance that might be infection). I hope if someone else sees something different they'll jump in. Sorry you're having these symptoms.
  5. Mono is a virus, therefore not treated by antibiotics. If you don't have confirmed strep then you are taking an antibiotic unnecessarily.
  6. Like pp my pantry is divided into sections. Cans, baking, cereals, PB&J stuff, Mason jars (you can sometimes find at thrift stores) the 1/2 gallon will hold a whole bag of flour or sugar. The one thing I wish I had invested in sooner was large lazy susan's. I was always finding things "lost" in the back. No more?
  7. I'm on the other side of the state but the laws are incredibly homeschool friendly. I also lived on the west side of state for 7 years. Given a choice I'd pick west. Beautiful, tons of homeschool options/groups/opportunities.
  8. Following. I plan to read but I'm reading her first book just now.
  9. To add. I didn't find out about 4th degree tear until I went for annual at new doctor at least 5 years after the fact. No nurse, doctor, single person mentioned in hospital at the time. There was a head nurse who refused to leave the hospital until the next head nurse came on duty. All she said to me was, "My gosh! WHAT did he DO to you???" of course I couldn't see and they didn't explain and I had no one around to ask. I wish now someone had felt the need to inform me.
  10. My heart is breaking for Jenny. Praying that a new dog is found soon. I'm so sorry you've had this added to your plate.
  11. I had 4th degree cut AND tear into sphincter muscle. First baby so I didn't know that all that was happening wasn't "normal." After baby #4 I started to have issues related to irregular healing. When I asked ob/gyn about a fix she said the fix (surgery) is worse than the current problem. ??
  12. In our state you must pass a millage during a voting campaign to charge this tax. The people vote on whether they approve of this "added" tax amount that is paid in their property tax each year. It's not randomly added.
  13. ((HUGS)) My heart hurts for her. Poor kid.
  14. If someone really looks it over & it passes muster? Yes. We bought a 2008 KIA Sedonna that was totalled & fixed. We drive it until a month ago. No problems except normal maintenance & repairs.
  15. Just talked to someone in Northern U.P. 4 feet of snow in Hogback parking lot. . . so no, all the snow is not gone there.
  16. Agree with this especially having shoes for wet and muddy if you will be out in the weather at all.
  17. We spent 2 years in a house on a slab foundation. My knees & back took 2 years to recover. Good flooring with give is a must.
  18. I love the colors! Great job. Can't wait to see orange island.
  19. For those who remember this trip. DS17 had a wonderful time. The mom totally kept me in the loop with text and pictures. They are all talking about future get togethers. I thought I had total peace about the trip until DH text to let me know he'd picked up DS17 at airport. I sort of lost it at that point. =) In this case, I think we made the right choice. Thanks again for all of your advice, thoughts and prayers.
  20. On my phone & can't respond but so appreciate the help. A lot has changed since I last flew.😮
