This is my dh😁. He doesn't understand why we don't invite everyone to stay all.the.time. I've adjusted and find the main thing that makes it okay with me is if I know when they will leave. Even if I am totally enjoying or looking forward to a visit I want to know the end day. He is obviously a strong extrovert to my introvert.

Our Walmart and Meijer told me I had to bring in the pb before they would refund. I've seen many people saying just throw it out. Why would you NOT want a refund?

Walmart last night, tons of boxes EVERYwhere waiting to be stocked. Prices rising. Some a little, some a lot. Kroger today. Lots of meat but dang!😲 Most prices up. As I checked dates on things they seem to be mostly fall of this year. Our bread that was always $3.50 full price(I always got on sale for closer to $2) now has a sale price of $3.99😳

In my part of MI the regular candy aisle just got smaller. But they had the regular seasonal aisle. It seemed normal. I did not see Texas seasonal aisle just regular candy aisle. They had also shrunk their cereal aisle to one side. Candy and something else(sorry, it escapes me) was opposite cereal.

We are from Midwest and I have noticed candy aisle shrinking. Yes, I realize candy is non-essential, but chocolate? We just spent 5 days in Texas. Candy aisle was almost non-existent. It had shrunk as well as big chunks were just empty.

My dh is in trades. He says absolutely not ok. Leaving it prime white & coming back to paint when your color is available is better. You are now paying someone to paint and will have to pay someone to paint again. Not acceptable, at all.

I have been to WM and Kroger in last 3 days. Surprisingly stocked and boxes of stock everywhere. In the last 2 MTHS I've seen empty shelves, partial stock, etc. Last week they had people doing inventory at our Kroger. Could that have been why they were letting stock go down? I also told dh my theory. They are letting things be gone so when they come back we'll be so happy that we won't notice it's a smaller amount... for the same price(or more).🤨

I have, too, which was one reason I was surprised that references weren't being really checked. This is a place where children are an issue.

I think this is why I feel such frustration. That we can't expect to get this kind of information.

I think office staff who does interviews is very afraid of lawsuits. So can you call a business and ask non-HR person questions regarding past employees?

So, unless someone has been reported to police, producing a criminal record, you can't know if this person has issues? Even when it's a job that involves children? This feels so wrong.😒

Is this really the case now? I was in a business meeting where the person who does job interviews happen to be. When asked if an employees behavior issue had come up from past employers references, we were told we don't really check or give references. --"We could get into trouble for not giving someone a good reference." Because of this we are assuming that no one else is giving references so we don't check. --We do background checks but don't check references.

I don't usually jump into conversations here, though I do love how I learn to think outside my box here. As I was reading through this thread I heard no less than 3 commercials for contacting lawyers re:side effects of different prescription drugs. Could it be that these "facts" also play into peoples trust, or lack thereof, in the safety of pharmaceuticals? These prescriptions also had the science behind them. I'm not being snarky. This is a sincere question/thought.

This whole thread is so interesting. I have never journaled but I did, for 20ish years, write significant stuff on the calendar. Just enough info that I can go back & tell you dates, appointments, if someone was sick or at a friend's house or someone said something funny. 27 years ago dh spent 5 weeks out of state with his mom when she went into hospice care. He came home and was home for almost a week when she passed. I knew this to be true because he went to my office Christmas party and back to work. I recently heard him tell someone with great sorrow, "Yeah, I was with my mom, then I flew home and she died the next morning."😳 He has given himself a wrong memory that tortures him.

I use Suave clarifying shampoo, IF I use shampoo, then flip my hair upside down(in shower) and squish fructus damage eraser into hair. I usually don't get near roots.
