  1. Go to the group page and under the big picture at the top, it says "About, Event, Photo, Doc" Click About and it lists the members of the group.
  2. The hive has helped me many times in just this manner!! You all are great!!
  3. Can you call your dr., explain the situation to her and ask her for a recommendation?
  4. My mom comes to most, my dad rarely. MIL is 900+ miles away. FIL died before we had kids. My arents are at family parties mainly because they host them at their house. My mom comes to most parties simply because she enjoys the kids. But if she has to miss, it's ok, not a big deal.
  5. I usually make up long convoluted posts to the Hive in my head and then never post them. LOL
  6. Same here, I've had two induced with Pit and didn't have to have any drugs. Good luck!!
  7. Where did you find these? All Project Gutenberg has is The Mysterious Affair at Styles and The Secret Admirer.
  8. I've used both tape and the round circles. I have found that they both work about the same. So I just use whichever I can find.
  9. I second the Pooh movies or Curious George. If you can listen to it, you can get shows like Dora or Diego that will show 3-4 episodes in a row and last an hour or so.
  10. The new hardback versions of Alpha, Beta, etc line up with the comb bound versions. They just moved the problems so that they take 2 pages instead of one and there is no longer a blank page for working problems. I have the comb bound TM through Zeta and they all work. The versions titled Alpha, Beta, etc will not line up with the Classic versions titled Foundation, Intermediate, etc.
  11. My 12yo gets like that on occasion. I usually can give her some time in her room alone and make sure she is getting plenty of sleep and eating right. Usually it is a hormonal surge and after a time to recoup herself, she'll come apologize for her outburst. By alone time in her room, I mean I keep the boys out not that I make her stay in. She prefers to be alone in those cases and if forced to interact will end up spiraling the outburst till we both say things we regret. In your daughter's case, it is probably hormones and stress. Mom being sick can stress out kids, even if they don't realize it.
  12. We did a lot of what the PP said, but also brought a cooler and a ball. Whenever possible, we stopped and ate somewhere the kids could run and play ball. Then we fed them in the van when we got back on the road. Made for a messy van, but the kids got some energy out at every stop.
  13. Have no idea, but have you run a virus check or tried downloading Firefox again?
  14. For us, there is no video games on the weekend unless all school work is completed. Watching the others play while you are stuck in your room reading and writing.
  15. MIne gets together with his sister and ds6 and they build Legos, plays webkins with the dolls, make up plays, design ideas for sets, build traps for "bad guys", read, color, run wild outside.
  16. I have this one and it has worked fine for me. Yes, I have needed to change the channels while traveling, but that is what kids are for! http://www.amazon.com/Charger-Transmitter-Holder-Range-Frequency/dp/B002HQWN28/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_3
  17. I started mine off with an extra 1/2 hour of staying up, as long as they were in their beds reading. Now, as teens and almost teens, they push that to 1.5-2hrs sometimes, but they ARE in their beds reading quietly and not bugging me. As long as it doesn't affect their attitude the next day, I let it slide.
  18. Make sure the fill button is not clicked. If it is, it will automatically add other stuff to fill the Ipod. There is also the manually add to my Ipod option.
  19. Not that I have found. Shifting position frequently helps to prevent it though. Having kids on my lap makes it worse!! Good luck!
  20. I prefer OUAT, Hubs and ds16 prefer Grimm.
  21. My dd12: craft stuff, learning crochet and sewing, Professor Layton games on the DS, creating with Legos, creating with scraps of stuff, logic problems in puzzle books, reading, playing board games with the family.
  22. http://www.timberdoodle.com/Animation_Kit_p/223-003.htm I got this for my dd12 and ds10. THe camera isn't the greatest, but the book is! Explains how stop motion works, ways of getting the minifigs or clay to produce the effect you want. If you are running a Windows machine, Windows movie maker is supposed to be good too.
  23. Can you video tape the seizures as they happen? Maybe that can give the drs. something to go on.
  24. Those sound like seizures to me. I have had 2 kids with seizure disorders, both started near the same time and ended near the same time. My daughter was 5 and ds10 was 3. SHe started in Aug, had breakthrough seizures every 2-3 months, had her last one at 7 and has been of meds since she was 9 with no problems. Ds started the following Feb., only had breakthrough seizures when he hit a growth spurt, had the last one at 6, and has been med free since 8. Doctors never did identify why they had the seizures or why they stopped. I recommend getting into a pediatric neurologist if at all possible though.
  25. Sounds like a good plan to me. I have used GWG for 3rd and 4th grades with kids who have had only the Comprehensive Curriculum books for grammar. They then moved into MCT Town level books without a problem.
