  1. I have started this healthy way of eating that is fantastic and I have lost so much and about a 1# a week. I have lost 25# and I feel very full and so...good. It is just pure veget.cooked and raw, fruit, meat 2 times a week, no oil, 1 or 2X wk. potatoes, sprouted whole wheat bread, brown rice. No pasta or dairy or sugar but little dried fruit instead. We will have 1 or 2 X a wk. some sour cream or a little bit of butter but no cheese or milk. For cereals we have apple juice or almond milk which I dont mind. Cereals are hot cooked....I still would have sugar once a week and I still lost. Anyone want to know about it let me know. Cyndi Wife to dh for 29yrs. Homeschool since 1986 to 6 ages 28-11
  2. I have just the place for you. Green Pastures Cod Liver Oil website in google. It is really the best and you can get it in capsules. I think it will say why the best on the website. It is made in wooden kegs like and aged like it use to be. The only way to get that Vit. D. You are smart to take this wonderful supplement. HTH Cyndi Wife to wonderful dh of 29yrs. 3. My sister has one of those machines that scoops it each time the cat goes and she really likes it. It works and she lives in a very nice fifth wheel RV with her husband. Cyndi
  4. My aunt has her cat potty trained to go into the toilet. I have seen the pictures of her using it! You can buy a kit for 30 or 40? to "train" them to do this. I wish I could do this but we have 3 cats! We have indoor cats now but back then I had indoor/outdoor. Gates? if the cat wouldnt mind jumping over it or going through the holes each time? Cyndi
  5. Cod Liver Oil in capsules is huge for pregnancy. greenpastures.com I think is where they sell the best purest form of fermented and aged as it used to be and where I get mine. This is about the only way you can get Vit. D in the most natural form. D in milk is synthetic and our bodies cant break it down. Anyway, our daughter had a miscarriage last year and is due in Dec./Jan. and we are praying that all will go okay. Will be praying for you too. Cyndi Married to my wonderful dh 29yrs. Homeschool since 1986 6 children 28-11
  6. Today is sad...our 1st goat that we painstakingly researched out has this. It affects their joints. Sometimes the symptons dont show up most of their life. I could not believe it. Teach me to see CAE testings of the parents and only get a kid from someone who has tested, even if they are National top show breeders and well known in the US. Well, there goes the value of our "nice" goat. Cyndi
  7. Once every 7 yrs. our anniversary is on Thanksgiving the 26th. This year will be 29yrs. Amazing how we made it and with 6 children from 11 - 28. Cyndi
  8. Our family just got done watching this series of 7 parts 1 hr each about. It is an absolutely fantastic series. There are a few bad parts in it though. It would need to be sensored or fast forwarded. One place where 2 men are near a ship but not in it, are talking, and they take one of the men down to tar and feather him, so they take his clothes literally all off, and John and his wife together a few places. It really gave our girls a good feel of what it was like and the pain that they all went through. Cyndi
  9. I wanted to thank you for the link to these studies. My daughter is really loving her doll and this will be a neat study. Cyndi
  10. We havent ever had cable. We watch movies on the tv screen about once every 2wks. We havent missed anything. I, my husband and kids are the better because of it and we are much! closer because of it. Enjoy.. Cyndi Wife to dh of almost 30 yrs. Homeschool since 1986 6 children ages 28-11
  11. I bought an organizer idea chart and one of the ideas is clothes pins with chores glued on them and they clip them on their shirt and when done they put them back on the matboard. Then you know what they have done. If they forget a chore, simply put the clothes pin at their table setting. I thought that this was pretty creative or a sign in the bathroom with who is on duty for that week who is serving that area. If something needs attention then someone can go to them for the needed items etc and it helps them remember. Cyndi Wife to dh of almost 30yrs. Homeschooling since 1986 6 children 28-11
  12. We have a special holistic orthodontist who does cranial? development. We go 8hrs. every 6 to 8wks. if I go with another lady and 3 mo. if we go by ourselves. He is worth it. People go to him from all over. She has a horrible cross bite and her lower jaw is out of wack. A regular orthod. would have done nothing with the source of the problems and caused more trouble down the road and gotten TMJ where the jaw clicks or some other serious problems. He is absolutely wonderful and he does all other dental work also. He is Czechlovokian. spelling? His father is a cardiovascular surgeon and dentist. His 2 brothers own a microbiology lab that employs 600. I will never go to a regular dentist again. If you dont have orthod. work and you only need to see them once a year then that is not a problem going that far. He says that any dental hygenist can do a good cleaning but for everything else he is the man that we trust. There are only like 15 or less in the US that does what he does. He is a Very gentle soft spoken man. I never knew that there were actually dentists that cared like the old days. He costs about 2 to 3,000. more but since we are making payments, it is just a bit longer with the longer treatment. Cyndi Wife to dh of almost 30yrs. 14. I just wondered if MFW is more along the lines of CMason than it is classical? Thanks Cyndi Wife to dh of almost 30yrs. Mother to 6 28-11 Homeschooled since 1986
  15. We live just 11/2hrs. from Art and have heard him on numerous occasions recently since he is running against Peter DeFazio a long time, of approx.23yrs., in the House. My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed speaking with him, and his son Noah. Their logic is beyond reasoning in any debate and could take on the best of them. I think that for math, his program would be fantastic. Cyndi Wife to dh of almost 30yrs. Mother to 6 28-11 Have homeschooled since 1984 or well...maybe it was when she 4 in 1986.
  16. We used this a long time ago and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the info. on the Explorer Bible Study. Cyndi Wife of dh almost 30yrs. Mother to 6 28 -11 Have homeschooled since 1984
  17. Our children weren't ready for this at this age. They matured alot by age 10 or so when their reading was much more proficient. You will see... Cyndi
  18. We used Cursive First and loved it. It is detailed and gets them writing beautifully from the beginning and getting the formation down carefully and methodically.

  20. We also have the Titus one and love it. Cyndi
  21. I never liked this personally. It wasn't as intensive phonics as I wanted and so has more sight words and there were other reasons. Cyndi
  22. Yes...these are great and have depth to them.
  23. The girls make their list and then I talk it over with him; this way I feel like we are shopping for it together though I usually get it online since we are so rural. Cyndi Wife to dh nearly 30yrs., mother to 6 28-11
  24. I remember how I use to hide the candy making items downstairs in the basement a month or so before Christmas. Well this particular year they found it and so I hid it again only to find that I couldnt remember where! Then our house fire hit. The basement was a real smoker....not fire. When we brought everything up, we found it alright and the kids said ah ha mama! That is where you put it and I had to explain to the fire and restoration people what they were talking about. By the way, I always forget where I put stuff! Cyndi
