  1. My daughter had something similar. The Dr. gave her all kinds of stuff, we changed her diet (thinking it might be an allergy), even had her tested at an allergist. Nothing. Some stuff would help a little but never cleared it up completely. What worked for us? Milk of Magnesia applied to her face before she went to bed at night. Go figure.
  2. Well, you have to have s'mores! I like to use different types of chocolate -- like Carmellos or Butterfinger squares . . . to spice it up a bit. We also poke pieces of summer sausage and grill it over the fire, remove it with a bit of cheese -- Scooby Snacks. AND use a thick dowl (sp?) rod and wrap a canned biscuit around and toast over the fire, pull it off and fill with squeeze butter and jelly -- slugs. Not necessarily cheap or a meal -- but lots of fun.
  3. I've had different instructors and haven't noticed it being too jumpy -- but I agree with the others that say you can always take the bounce/jump out of the move. I like Zumba -- it's helped me learn how to move my hips:lol:
  4. Crockpot 365 has tons of recipes that are GF -- actually they're all GF. I'm making General Tso's Take Out Chicken tonight -- it's super yummy. (You'll have to do a google search -- I don't know how to do the link thing. Sorry.)
  5. Broom and dust pan Flashlights Cooking equipment Cooler Love having indoor/outdoor carpet right outside the tent door Canopy (not necessary, but nice) We bring gallons of water instead of bottles and have the kids fill up their water bottles from that -- cheaper and less waste/mess. Flyswatter Hum -- I'll let you know if more come to my head.
  6. Super cool -- I love accents. Don't think it was the Texas one.
  7. :grouphug::grouphug: So glad things seem to be working out alright. on being shocked on the 18oz of meat.
  8. I think using Isabella would be a creative twist on continuing with the Elizabeth theme.
  9. Yes, but she lives hours away. She used to live just a few houses away and I miss her terribly. It's hard to maintain closeness so far away. I wish I had another one.
  10. Update: We did not get a dog. There were several there that I liked but they had already been adopted. We spent a bit of time with a couple of them but they were not a good fit for my family. We choose to think that it's just a sign that it's not the right time. Rough Collie -- what type of dog do you have in the picture in your signature? It always makes me smile when I see it on one of your posts.
  11. We're on our way to the animal shelter to check out their dogs -- $30 this weekend! I SO don't need a dog but I really WANT one. I can't tell the kids -- they'll be over the top excited. Who am I kidding -- I'm over the top excited.
  12. Who knows??? I've not been able to understand her logic.
  13. It goes in spurts -- I usually talk to my dad about once a week but them sometimes I'll talk to him two or three days in a row. I'll talk to my mother about once every three or four weeks but then several days in a row. Just depends on what's going on. I rarely talk to my MIL -- that's my husband's job:tongue_smilie:
  14. I just read an article that says eating fish roe will give you a vitamin D boost. I don't know how to do the link thing on here but it's at thehealthyhomeeconomist.
  15. I have a friend that has issues with the government -- she doesn't have a driver's license (she has an international license), bank account . . . and she doesn't pay taxes. It's long to explain but basically she doesn't think it's Constitutional and doesn't want the government to be able to track her in any way. She's very active in her political party and votes every election. If they required an "official" ID then she wouldn't be able to vote. Probably not the majority of voters out there -- but people like her exist.
  16. Just to throw it out there -- I found modest swimsuits for my girls this year at Academy, $12.
  17. Could he be gifted? A lot of your descriptions sound a lot like the things we learned about when I was going through GT certification/training.
  18. As a child, we would pull over (both sides of the road) and if there was a man in the car he would get out and put his hand over his heart. This made a really big impact on me when my grandfather died -- still remember those men with their hats over their hearts.:crying:
  19. The latest would be that things will not always turn out the way you hoped/planned and to get over it and get going.
  20. I've never heard of such a thing! Guess I'm going to have to spend some time on Google.
