  1. We are currently using Sonlight Core D +E for US History.
  2. I am a germophobe and since my boys get sick easily and illness usually results in seizures, I wipe library books down with alcohol or Clorox wipes.
  3. You are absolutely right. I can't imagine how difficult that is. My above comment was based on the assumption that the disrespect was coming from just that one person. ((HUGS))
  4. I think this is a delicate situation, already complicated enough. To forbid the daughter to be around the other side of the family is crazy, based on the BIL. I think it's unfair to put a time on mourning for one's sibling. Just my two cents.
  5. I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I can't imagine how hurtful this is. No wise words, just prayers and hugs.
  6. Toys R Us does contact out with West at Home. I have never worked for them, but I do work for West on their GE Factory Service line, scheduling service appointments. You can apply at www.westathome.com.
  7. Thanks guys! We managed to create his own apple ID and sign on to my iTunes account so we can share apps, yet he has his own ID to chat with friends.
  8. I have to say that Educating the Whole Hearted Child by Sally Clarkson is my favorite.
  9. So we have decided to get DS an iPad mini. I've only had my iPad for about 9 months, so I still feel like I have a lot to learn. Is it possible for him to have his own Apple ID and still be connected to my iTunes account? That way, we can share the apps we have already purchased? If so, can we pick and choose which apps to download on his iPad, or do they all automatically transfer over?
  10. I know all too well the stress of fighting viruses and fever. I pray it passes quickly.
  11. It it comforting to know that I am not the only one who does this. Yes, I m a germophobe and seriously didn't need to see this either.
  12. I agree, they are pretty quick. GWG has been great with my boys who also had some reading delays and struggle with language arts in general. We worked through levels 2 &3 before skipping level 4 and going straight to 5 after contacting GWG for their recommendation. I was afraid to do that, but it really has worked fine for them.
  13. I have posted in the past about West at Home. I am not sure how to link those posts, but if you do a search, you should be able to find them. It is legit and quite flexible. Check out www.westathome.com
  14. I made mine clean up HIS mess. I'm the world's meanest mom.
  15. That's great! We weaned my 11 year old twins off their neuro meds about 2 years ago. It was scary at first but I'm glad we did. They were both on meds for close to 8 years. I'm praying all goes well for your DD.
  16. This is sad. This organization has been such a blessing to my aunt and her family during her cancer battle. I didn't know who she was myself, but why remove her name?
  17. I agree! My DH's co-workers just recently surprised him with a gift basket for his birthday. We were both deeply touched that they even took the time to think of us. It was absolutely beautiful. It was filled with all kind of gag gifts (over the hill theme) but I'm totally in love with the basket.
  18. Funnix worked great for us too. I wish I had found it sooner. After we completed the program we read through the Magic Tree House series. That seemed to work just right for us.
  19. We just got one for Ds and I believe that amazon offers parental controls thru their freetime app. We haven't tried it since he'll be getting this for Christmas. I know that when I go into my kindle settings, there is an option to register a kindle fire device for freetime. I hope that helps.
  20. Here is another great Kohls deal... http://moneysavingmom.com/2012/11/kohls-com-get-a-kitchenaid-artisan-5-quart-stand-mixer-for-150-74-shipped-after-rebate-retails-for-449.html
  21. So thankful for family, good friends and great food. Happy Thanksgiving!

  22. Check out this link: http://www.bradsdeals.com/search?query=Kitchenaid+mixer Also, on the kitchenaid website, use coupon code PGA2012. It appears to still be valid. If you take a look at the brads deals link, the 2nd one from the bottom is still in stock and it is $160 after the coupon code. I just got mine yesterday. In fact, it's the one listed in the Costco link, but I got it directly from kitchenaid.com. I ordered mine This past Sunday night and after the $30 rebate, I got it for $174.22 and that includes tax and shipping! That's about $25 cheaper than the classic models at regular price and beats any Black Friday deals I've seen. This link helped me decide which one to get: Check out this video on YouTube:<br/><br/>
