  1. No, your not half dog and half man. You are a boy...a 12 year old boy at that. For goodness sake your not 2!
  2. Sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
  3. My son's stomach issues are keeping us all up at night. Two weeks now and it's not nice trying to get by on little sleep. :(

  4. This. My husband has been in law enforcement for 20+ years. I've heard waaay too many stories. I live in FL, so you can do the research and see why we're paranoid. Sadly, it is the reality for the times we live in. I'd rather my child not be a statistic.

  6. I second that...could have been any of the above.
  7. This is totally new to him, so I can see where this is awkward for him. However, he is 14. My son would be required to attend services with us. When he gets older, he is free to make his own decisions. I understand he's made up his mind that he's an atheist. Just remember, God is more than just religion, it's about relationship. God has to real to him. I can't imagine how difficult this is and not sure if what I would do would be helpful to you. (((((HUGS))))))))
  8. Dos cientos treinta y ocho dolares con dieciocho centavos.
  9. Hmmm... I would politely say thank you for your input, but I know what happened. Sometimes, people love to speak what I call christianese to manipulate a situation to their advantage. As if it makes them holier than thou. You know what happened, so everyone else is entitled to their opinion. Since we don't have details as to what your referring, just take it to God. Leave it at his feet and in his time, it will be revealed.
  10. Loved that article! I struggle enough with guilt of not doing enough.
  11. At first he was coming home 1 or 2x a month (it's a 4 hr drive). Now that he is working full time, as well as a full time student, he averages about 4-5 times a year.
  12. I second the Nick hotel. It's really clean and close to all the attractions.
  13. I didn't know such groups existed, but I'd rather they not show on my posts.
  14. My DH is paranoid about stuff like this, so we would probably trash it or donate it as well. Then again, anyone who knows us know this about DH so they would most likely leave us a note.
  15. Wow! I could have written this post. I'm all ears!
  16. That is funny...LOL. Glad it all worked out well ;)
  17. Wow! I'm sorry. I can't imagine how difficult that would be. (((((HUGS))))
  18. Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer is a good one.
  19. We just started the SWI-A. This would take the place of the Medieval history. If you do both, I would think that would be confusing. You would be doing double the work. You could do the TWSS along with the Medieval History. I would recommend joining the IEW yahoo group. It has been a wealth of information. I wanted to add that IEW is teacher intensive IMO. However, this was one subject I could not afford to slack on with my kids. I figure if I set aside an hour a day, it is manageable. It can take anywhere from 30-60 min. If you go with the SWI-A, it is not a daily video. We are taking our time so it averages about every two weeks and in between the video segments, we are putting the principles into action.
