  1. We did the tax free shopping this weekend too but didn't get much in the way of outer clothing. Since no one is going to school and past experience has been that they grow out of the winter items before they need them  we generally just buy as needed. We use this weekend to stock up on socks and unders. So everyone got unders and socks then picked up some school supplies.
  2. Ever watch WWE (wrestling)? The Miz says it all the time. really? really? really?
  3. Just a normal day here. Dh grilled hot dogs for lunch but he grills all the time.
  4. Been doing some minor housework today but putting off what I really should be working on. :001_huh: I would really like to be on the beach or anywhere that wasn't cluttered. Lunch was a cheeseburger and peach tea.
  5. Around here most do not give coaches gifts but we usually try to. When ds1 first started baseball we didn't give gifts. Fast forward to when ds2 started playing baseball. Ds2 had 2 wonderful coaches. They made a big deal of all the kids. Made the kids feel like they had won the world series when they won a game (didn't win many). And really worked with the kids. I wanted to give them something but didn't have a whole lot so I gave them each a $10 gift card to Sonic with a note from ds saying Thanks for being a great coach. I got ds1's coaches the same thing. All the coaches were really shocked. One year in Upward basketball instead of having the iron on stars they had pin on stars. This coaches gift was really for the coaches son. I cross stitched Upward 20?? across the top and the sons name on the bottom using the colors that year. I left the space in the middle for the stars to be pinned on. Then framed it in a shadow box type frame. When we gave it to each of the coaches I explained about how the stars could be pinned on there. The coaches seemed to really like that gift too.
  6. Dukes of Hazzard A-Team Golden Girls Designing Women Roseanne In the Heat of the Night I checked here to make sure these were 80's shows. Saw a bunch I forgot about but used to love.
  7. Walmart has some in the men's section. It is similar to this one. Wasn't real expensive. I got one for ds.
  8. about 100 At least that's what it feels like. Ball season means extra loads.
  9. bedding towels, undies clothes If we get anything new in a red or dark blue/black I presoak it in salt water then usually wash separate the 1st time. After that it is mixed it.
  10. pour a little baking soda or salt in bottom, add a some ice cubes and then shake/spin around.

  13. I have a hard time buying for myself even when it is gift for me. I feel guilty cause we need this or that. If I can't find something I want right away I put the money in a special spot in my wallet to use later, either on one purchase or several little things. Like a new magazine or book, a coffee drink here and there. Oh and I love going to yard sales and thrift stores. I will use my "stash" to buy things there.
  14. I too am having fun with it. My kiddos have fun and enjoy helping me find a deal. We only get things we will use and are trying to build up a stockpile (not as big as those on the show by any means, just enough in case of an emergency). If I every get to much of something I give it to family and friends. I hate to see things go to wasted. On the show the one that really bugged me was the twins with all the diapers and no children. If you can get them for free, get them and give them to someone that needs them. Imagine blessing a mom with a bunch of diapers. :001_smile: The ones I really liked on the show was the man and wife that donated a ton of stuff to missions and homeless shelters. :001_smile::001_smile:
  15. I too am just really getting started couponing but having so much fun with it. My kids enjoy it too. They cut the coupons then sort them in piles by product type (frozen, bottled, tooth paste etc) Then I double check they are in the right piles as I put them in my organizer. The kiddos also enjoy checking the sale papers for good deals against what coupons I have. (I have used this as math and writing assignments ;) math = figure out how much it would cost to buy those items, how much after coupons, what are the savings. Writing = writing a list of what is on sale with the coupons.) I started using an accordian style organizer but decided the binder with ball card sleeves would work better. Just got my stuff to do that. I am going to organize it by isles at the store. We have been kinda stocking up, not like the ones on the shows but just to have a full pantry with some extra for emergency. I just found krazy coupon lady and love that site along with coupon. com Oh and don't forget to get a raincheck if you go to a store and they are out of the product that is on sale. Also on RR at walgreens make sure to watch the date. They expire pretty quickly.
  16. Yep that is t-ball. Love it. Several games have had to come to a complete halt due to a helicopter or airplane flying over the field. ALL the kids were looking up.
