  1. I'd either try to grill everything or pull out the crockpot. It's too hot to cook here too.
  2. Is there anyway to store the garbage container outside for a while? We would clean the can with bleach and then let the sun hit it. :grouphug:Hugs they are disgusting, horrible little creatures.
  3. Living here, I would go crazy in the winter living in a small space. Now if I lived somewhere warm and wonderful then a small RV and the fam would be just fine. Living here in the Midwest...I'd be that woman you heard about who ran out into the snow and was never heard from again. (jk)
  4. My ds loved it, and said... 'Fact or fiction, it's a pretty freaky coincidence." On a side note...Now we both want to go to Galveston.
  5. Lovely. Your pics always make me want to spend some time outdoors. Thanks~
  6. Yes...you're a mean, mean mommy.:001_smile: My mom always said she knew she was doing her job right if we were complaining.:iagree:
  7. ~Happy Birthday~ Looking at all those cakes is making me hungry.:D
  8. Congratulations of the new home.:001_smile: One great tip is that many places will pick up for free donations if you call and have a lot. And they will give you a tax receipt. When we have to declutter to move we set up areas to and designate love it, leave it, loose it. Bag, box and place all donations, sell items in closed containers away from those who love them. Bless another with your mess;) but in a good way. Flylady has a great moving section. http://www.flylady.net/pages/Flying_MovingTips.asp
  9. I track everything into Homeschooltracker daily. I'm pretty good at keeping our routine/schedule doing the next lesson in each subject. My oldest uses a complete curriculum that is planned out daily. For my ds I have a weekly daily order schedule. I keep a master calendar in a teacher/plan book, that includes the classes they take locally along with things like Lego League, art, piano etc.
  10. I'm so glad you didn't have to loose your day off.:001_smile:
  11. He always used the toilet inside...but outside. Geeze, tell them once it's ok to go in the bushes on a trail and he took it literally. I'm so glad that was a faze.:D
  12. Still under $4 here and holding...I hope. Last I checked it was $3.87.
  13. :grouphug: You poor thing. The same thing happened to my sister. Horrible, horrible. I mean, hey we're talking about moving here. It ain't an everyday thang.
  14. Beautiful... Our fire works have been postponed until August or September. I really missed the island river show last night.
  15. The library is a wonderful resource for us. I've always done a yearly budget and didn't include costs like piano and soccer in the home school budget. (We would have taken those anyway, and they are often seasonal.) imo, fwiw...Don't spend tons of money for the future...Many of us find our teaching preferences, styles and other factors grow or change as the kids do. Enjoy your journey~
  16. August start here. I can't believe we are already well into July! :001_huh: Where did the time go... Mine take local classes and we all need a real summer break now that they are older. We do summer lessons in swimming etc. and read at least an hour a day for their reading program.
  17. Count me in too. I may already be out and have to stop back in tomorrow.:001_smile:
  18. What level(s) are you using? It sounds like you have everything.
