  1. Tripe and tongue to the best of my knowledge. I'll try a bite of almost anything once, but after that... I love it or leave it.
  2. :hurray::hurray::hurray: I'm glad to hear your good news. Experience often adds wisdom along with a comfort of knowing what to worry over. QUOTE=johnandtinagilbert;2149972]Stop the math workbook and focus intently on one skill until it is mastered. :o I just realized we're spending 3 weeks on drill and practice of multiplication facts and I'm totally cool with that. A couple of years ago, I'd have been so stressed and made poor ds do a zillion pages a day to "catch up." Go me! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! :D
  3. Wow, welcome to the Twilight-zone of interrupting political calls
  4. I would call the principle, scout master and his parents...maybe even the police. That kind of threat needs to be documented and stopped. :grouphug: Zero tolerance is a bunch of donkey-poo imo.
  5. We could since my electric-oven has a cook-time timer option that automatically shuts itself off. It also has a built in 12 hour shut off. I'm not real comfy doing it though.
  6. :grouphug:I'm so sorry for your loss, and sending prayers.:grouphug:
  7. :grouphug: Big, big hug. ( I'm feeling a little old myself these days transitioning to...No-line biofocals...blech.) Congratulations. I wish you and the happy couple every blessing. PS... Holding a beautiful baby will make you look younger btw:). That is the way it is according to my sister, who never corrects strangers who think her grand daughter is hers. She felt the same way you do when she found out, but oh how she fell in love with her little Sophia.
  8. :iagree: We have our family policy and I never allow mistreatment to be overlooked. We treat one another with love and respect...The golden rule.
  9. I have a big binder with clear sheet protectors, I just slip the recipe in. I can take out a plastic protected recipe and cook or bake without the worry of getting batter or gunk on the original. Just wipe em clean and pop it back into the binder. This system is much better than my previous one. They were crammed into my cookbook and always getting lost.
  10. :iagree: I thought it was just an expression meaning easy. I can't wait to ask my mom.
  11. :grouphug: I hope it works out better than expected.
  12. I'd try upping the vit. D and getting fresh air and sunshine if possible. Hope you find some relief soon.
  13. We have an election office in one of our malls with early voting. We shopped, snacked and voted in one stop;).
  14. Saturday morning, but I'd love to change them everyday which is never gonna happen. I'm a clean-sheet-freak:lol:.
  15. I don't know if this is the best price, but it's on sale here. http://www.greathomeschoolbooks.com/commmon.htm
  16. We did 4 when mine younger, but now have a regular 5 day lesson week. I still miss those Friday-Free days at the park, museum, lunch or library.
