  1. So sorry to hear about your accident! Sending prayers and healing thoughts your way.

  4. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
  5. We just made a no bake cheesecake over here. One package of Philly cream cheese 1/3 cup lemon juice 1 can eagle brand milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla mix together and then pour into a premade graham cracker crust and chill in refrigerator. It is quick, easy and a favorite over here!

Lastly, if you are here in the summer you should check out all of the CSU annual trial gardens…it is one of my favorite places to walk around.
  7. I have made chocolate chip pan cookies before (use same recipe as chocolate chip cookie recipe) spread onto a sheet pan and bake. Super easy and delicious and you can decorate when complete…also much cheaper ( and I think better) than one you will find at a grocery store.
  8. That is very cool! I love finding old notes, inscriptions, bookmarks, receipts from the previous owner of a book. Most of the ones I find though were from this century 😃
  9. Such a lot of loss. I will keep your sister in my prayers.
  10. Check with St. Vincent DePaul organizations in your town…they offer assistance with $ for utilities etc. and although it is a Catholic organization one need not be Catholic to receive services.
  11. Hugs and prayers. Hope that you are able to get the help you need to get through this difficult time.
  12. I was raised in a very devout RC family and was part of the Charismatic Catholic movement in the 80’s. Attended a small female only Catholic college and continued to practice. Attended church regularly and both of my children have received sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation. Stopped attending when eldest came out as Trans and I had difficulty sorting my feelings and support of DD and teachings of the church. I still feel Catholic and believe but am not currently attending church.
  13. Good Luck! Sounds like the right opportunity at the right time!
  14. Hi! Just wanted to give an update....I tested NEGATIVE both yesterday morning and this morning and will be able to go on my vacation!!! Didn't quite believe the test yesterday (after testing positive the day before) but 2 tests in a row I can believe! Anyways, I have to leave to catch a plane today (and finish packing) but wanted to let the "Hive" now my good news.
  15. Sudafed really helped my DH with his sinus pressure…for him the sinus pressure was the worst symptom he had and the Sudafed was a game changer.
  16. I’m so sorry to hear that! Can you reschedule for a few weeks from now when she is feeling better? You should definitely try to get together to celebrate your birthday… it is a big deal and I’m sorry your DH isn’t being more understanding.
  17. I am crossing my fingers as well! I was a strong positive yesterday morning and that bummed me out so much I decided to wait to test again until tomorrow. Hopefully it will be faint tomorrow and gone by Tuesday as I will need to make some decisions by then.
  18. We have really seen an uptick on people we know getting it here as well! Lots of graduation parties/ celebrations have been postponed. I really thought the summer was going to give us some respite but I don’t think it will.
  19. We also had radon testing during our inspection and required that they install a radon mitigation system. We use our basement as our tv room/family hangout area so wanted to make sure it was safe.
  20. Actually, I think the vaccines have really helped. I have had a sore throat, a bit of a cough and some fatigue but nothing too bad.. no fever, chills etc. I was actually surprised I tested positive. I truly thought it was a bad cold !
  21. Thank you ! That is the plan… my DH is 56 and I am 51 so hoping that I will test negative soon.
  22. My DH started coming down with cold like symptoms on May 7th and tested positive on May 8th. I started coming down with symptoms that same day but then tested negative on May 8th and 10th. Cold symptoms continued, DH quarantined down stairs and we were both very careful. We both retested on May 19th. DH now tests negative and I test positive. ☹️ I am supposed to do a beach vacation with my sister that we have been planning since February this Wednesday but will not be going if I am still testing positive. Any positive stories or actual experiences that you have to give me hope that I will still get to go on this much needed vacation? I hate Covid…we have been so careful, we are vaccinated and boosted and I hate that I might have to cancel my plans.
