  1. We are up to 326! My goal was to be to 275 at the end of May. My June goal is 6 hours each days. We shall see 🤣.
  2. We had pork bbq sandwiches, mac n cheese, corn on the cob and watermelon.
  3. Idk if this helps because I would have been uncomfortable inserting anything at that age. Try yogurt on a pad externally. This cures yi for me most of the time. They only ever seem to be external for me. You could try while you wait on dr. It wouldn’t hurt anything.
  4. IDK, but I couldn’t fall asleep until 2 am last night. I got my second dose on Monday. I thought it might have been because I took naps on Tuesday and slept in and I’m not used to that much sleep.
  5. I asked DH to ask his chiropractor and all he said was firm and not memory foam. Does anyone have specific brands to look at or to avoid?
  6. Yes and I made the mistake of telling my kids at bedtime. I thought nothing of it as I told them when Beverly Cleary died without much of a reaction. My 8 year started crying and wanted to know why all his favorite authors were dying, first Beverly Clearly then Eric Carle. He said that he hoped Eric Carle went to heaven. 😭
  7. Here I am to talk about my second moderna vaccine. I did great with no panic attack and I’m so thankful. I didn’t feel weird after the vaccine like last time. I’m so thankful. I had my vaccine at noon and around 9 pm I started shivering and was so sleepy I fell asleep just lying on my bed with the lights on. I didn’t even send the kids to bed, dh did. I woke up between 4 and 4:30 to get dh ready to work. I was still shivering and I felt first trimester pregnant. I didn’t feel like throwing up, but I just felt like just the same queasy stomach I have when I’m pregnant. I say good bye to dh at 5 am and go back to bed. I just woke up at 8:30, no sickness, no shivering. I woke up with a slight dull headache and feeling very overheated and dehydrated. I drank a gallon of water day before, day of and I’m working on day after. My headache is already almost gone after drinking a glass of water. I fully believe whoever here that suggested to stay hydrated had great advice. My arm was more sore on dose 2. I usually sleep on my arm and I couldn’t use my shot arm. I’m hoping I’m through the worst of it. If this is it(knock on wood) it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I am so thankful to have this behind me. I’m so thankful I was able to do something to help end this craziness. I’m so thankful that even though I was terrified and really wanted a reason not to go back for my second dose, I did it anyway.I am also extremely thankful to everyone here for your kindness and encouragement after I had such a bad time after my first vaccine. ❤️
  8. Well, today was the day for my second moderna vaccine. I had a panic attack after round 1. I only felt my normal levels of anxiety today. My throat didn’t feel tight, I could breath deeply, I didn’t feel the hot sensation coursing through my body. I didn’t feel a thing. I am so glad to have this behind me. I had so much anxiety leading up today. I will add any symptoms later. Here’s to hoping I have none.
  9. Can someone help me find the vaccine personal experience thread?
  10. Following as it is in my list of places to visit, but I’ve never been.
  11. We have a Kia. It’s an older model so it only seats 4 in the back, I’m pretty sure the newer model seats more. They are cheaper, but just as good. Mine has 207,000 mile on it and is going just fine. Many things have worn out over the years, but nothing too bad. I’d buy another Kia. Or a Toyota. I had a friend that had a lot of trouble with her Honda, so I always write that brand off, but a lot of people love them.
  12. You can look on the car seat lady website to see how car seats fit in different vehicles.
  13. Well, let me know how it goes!
  14. I for the most part ignore the latest trendy thing. I really hate lots of gadgets around the kitchen. Recently I read that air fryers make really awesome and moist boneless skinless chicken breasts. Can anyone here confirm this? I usually only like boneless skinless chicken breasts, but I don't like grilling and I always ask dh to. I would love to have my own method for awesome chicken breasts that does not involve dh grilling.
  15. Well, I'm partially vaccinated. Dh refuses. Needless to say, he is not on board with having our children vaccinated when it is available to the little ones. I don't feel ready to do anything indoors unmasked. I mean it's spring coming up on summer, we are outdoorsy people, we don't have a whole lot of places to be indoors. I think we will be going around people in outdoor settings unmasked. Parks, beaches and such. Maybe even private gymnastics lessons. Small family gatherings outside. I am not ready for restaurants and stores though. It may be more risky than I've been all year, but I have to face the facts, my kids won't be vaccinated and dh is still not masking when he is out and about, so we may as well enjoy ourselves instead of staying hole up forever. IDK, this is just my thinking right now.
  16. Thank you. I'm not at all sure of the timeline just yet. I'm hoping it will be more in the fall (that is if we are feeling comfortable with how things are going with covid, there is really no telling.)
  17. Thanks. We will do that for sure. Dh was stationed on an aircraft carrier for 6 months once, not sure I'll drag him on. I'm only half kidding. I think he almost went nuts on that deployment. I guess he's glad he was a Marine instead of the Navy. Ship life didn't agree with him. My boys will love it.
  18. I had these 2 places for sure Thank you. Can you suggest what beach? I was seeing maybe Kiawah Island is least developed and natural. I read Edisto Beach was least crowded, but far from Charleston. IDK if this is correct. I've just read so much today.
  19. Thanks for all the advice ladies. I've read through all you all said and after looking around a bit this morning, I *think* I'm leaning toward Charleston, SC. So, if anyone wants to add any specifics about Charleston, let me know.
  20. No, not really. We live in the mountains of VA and there is a bit of history, but not like colonial williamsburg type stuff. We are in the appalachian mountinas. All those places are about a 6.5 hour drive for us.
  21. Thanks. It's funny, I don't about VA beaches either. It's funny because I actually live in VA (opposite side of the state from the beach) and everyone I know goes to NC, SC or GA. No one ever goes to VA beaches. My family is working on visiting all the VA state parks, so I'm super tempted to stick with VA, but I just don't know.
