  1. Perhaps not so strange, but I received a mortar and pestle (along with astragalus and feverfew seeds) via UPS today :001_smile:
  2. Glad to hear things are impoving. Continued prayers and well-wishes for you, Molly. :grouphug:
  3. I am truly amazed by the strength you've shown through this, Christine. Many hugs and prayers for complete recovery!
  4. King Solomon's Ring by Konrad Lorenz, Thoreau's The Maine Woods, and The Great Influenza by John M. Barry are a few I didn't see on your list.
  5. One of the more recent "really bad books" for me was Mario Puzo's The Godfather. Ick.
  6. Me too! Plus, I got a lovely autographed copy (when they were being offered) of The History of the Medieval World by going this route! :001_smile:
  7. I <3 purple the best (but I love other colors, too!) Does that make me a a "polychromist?"
  8. I truly appreciate the class and graciousness Susan has shown throughout this entire debacle. And, I, too have the utmost respect for her and her work. Many thanks to Susan! :001_smile:
  9. Oh, I'm definitely a sorter. :001_smile: Not only that, I supervise the baggers ever since I had one throw packages of meat in with my sleeved (in other words, not wrapped in plastic) french bread---I discovered this as I unpacked at home and found my bread "drizzled" with raw meat juices :glare:
  10. Prayers for your son that all turns out well :grouphug:
  11. Yes. I've been ordering from Rainbow Resource for about almost 10 years now. While I've encountered some slow shipping on certain items, I've always been very happy with every other aspect of their customer service (including phone conversations with their staff). Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them.
  12. Your pictures are great, Ibbygirl! I love how you captured the progression! We were at the beach, too---the moonrise was gorgeous in person, and hard to do it justice in photos. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many locals turn out for the rise of the "super moon." My kids and I enjoyed it. :001_smile:
  13. :iagree: I don't find it at all amusing.
  14. I don't know about a thread, but, over the years there have been various people with perhaps just a little too much time on their hands, who have written some version of "rules of the internet." I assumed that was what Chucki was referring to...
  15. OK, but which version of Rule 39? There are several of them floating around ya know... ;)
  16. Actually, I'm looking for essential oils to use for cleaning, natural healthcare, and aromatherapy. For instance, tea tree oil is a natural anti-bacterial and I add it to my wash instead of bleach. I've also used it for minor skin problems. Some essential oils, like peppermint, are great for stomach ailments, colds, etc. The problem is, some companies sell oils that are not truly pure---they have additives or have been adulterated in some way.
