My dd moved to her new place in NC with our outdoor cat. DD and cat are happy. The cat has transitioned to being indoors with not problems. :)

In the mood to purge stuff. I may have emptied another bookshelf.Filled up 3 cloth bags so far.

I've been brushing up on accounting and finance all day.The more I read the less I feel I know.

I HATE CARPET.Spent the last 2 days ripping up the carpet in my entrance area.What a mess.

Spent the afternoon worried about my college dd. She spent the afternoon at the ER, making sure she didn't have appendicitis. She did not.

floor guy called and cancelled, again. I beginning to think my bedroom floor will never be done. I'm tired of my stuff all over the house.

A wreck shutting down the highway making my dd's 1 hr commute a 2 hr one. I hate rural living.

It is time for a glass of wine and chocolate. What a day, and week.

There are rats in my basement and one is trying to claw it's way into my kitchen.:(

My room is all painted! It cost $700 to have the room mudded, but it looks amazing. I'll post pictures after the floor is done!

The wallpaper is all off! It took apx 18 hrs. I will clean the walls tomorrow, then someone is coming to plaster and spackle before I paint.

Just spent the last hour changing numerous passwords. It's times like this I want to go off the grid.

My poor dd. We are working through Jane Eyre, which is my favorite novel ever (but not hers!). I'm even blasting the music from the broadway musical. :)

Hey Kim,
Are you using any resources for your discussion? We're doing this book next. This is my all-time favorite book, too, and I don't want to ruin it for dd. SWB has suggested not making kids dissect their favorite books and I feel this way about Jane Eyre for me. I don't want to analyze it...I just want to savor it's loveliness again (sigh).

I just let ds11 put Nutella in his oatmeal. What have I done??! I've never be able to keep Nutella in stock.

My ds14 and I just had a major communication fail. I know it won't be the last, but right now I want to scream and give him a "Gibb's" head smack.

I hate wall to wall carpet. I think it should be banned. Only hardwood, tile, or laminate should be allowed. That is all.
