PeterPan
Aren't there restaurants you can go to that are Disney restaurants but don't require paying admission to Disney? Did I read that somewhere? I just can't remember what it was called, some kind of market street or something. I think it was on the edge of Disney, not in it. Or can you go in if you have a restaurant reservation, even without doing the park? Edited August 26, 2016 by OhElizabeth
Heatherwith4
The resorts have some really great restaurants. Also, you could go to Disney Springs or the Boardwalk area. None of those require park tickets.
ktgrok
You are thinking of Disney Springs I believe. There's a dinosaur themed restaurant, and a few others.
QueenCat
The resorts have restaurants. We LOVE the one at the Lodge at Animal Kingdom.
PeterPan
Thanks ladies! I think the Boardwalk was what I was remembering, but now I'll look at these others too! :)
Daria
You can also go to restaurants in the hotels. What kind of restaurant are you looking for. The ones in the hotels around the Magic Kingdom are nice, and you can stay and watch the fireworks afterwards.

Joules
I know that it is called "Disney Springs" now but it will always be "Downtown Disney" to me. I was wondering why no one recommended Downtown Disney! I didn't know about a name change. Obviously it's been way too long since I've been there!
edelweiss
Yes! And Holltwood studios is still MGM. for always. Yep! It will always be MGM and Downtown Disney for me. Also, Port Orleans-- Riverside will always be Dixie Landings as far as I'm concerned.
PeterPan
So now, if we went to Disney Springs late and just wanted dessert, something grownup, just a little something, where would we go? :D And yes, I know we need reservations! That's why I'm looking now! :) Edited August 28, 2016 by OhElizabeth
Pegasus
My recommendation would be the creme brulee at Wolfgang Puck Express. It is walk in, no reservations needed, and oh so yummy. The cheesecake is also good. Either could easily be split between two people.
mlktwins
Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs is really good and not super expensive.
StaceyinLA
There are SO many new options at Disney Springs. Restaurants are opening up left and right! Our favorite counter meal at Disney Springs is at Cookes of Dublin - great fish and chips! I will agree that Wolfgang Puck Express has great desserts. There is also a Girardelli shop that has all their offerings, as well as ice cream, sundaes, etc. There's a Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex, The Boathouse, Raglan Road Irish Pub, Planet Hollywood, two Wolfgang Puck restaurants, Kat Kora's restaurant (I can't think of the name), a Latin-inspired restaurant, and more casual options like the food at the bowling alley (Splitsville) that I've heard is pretty good, and Earl of Sandwich, Cookes of Dublin plus carts with fast-food type offerings. Quite the food Mecca going on there these days!
sarasue7272
We went to a French bakery. The name started with an A. We didn't need a reservation.Dh and I had a beautiful little cake and my boys had cheesecake and chocolate torte. It was amazing. http://allears.net/dining/photos/amorettes-patisserie/interior
magnificent_baby
The Grand Floridian has a nice restaurant. You take a short ferry trip to it from the Magic Kingdom. No need to get into the park either. We made reservations for breakfast several weeks in advance and it was still very busy. It was a really nice experience.
