Jay3fer
Sorry if this has been posted here already, but I wanted to share this link to the annual 50% off sale for Mr. Q. Science: http://www.eequalsmcq.com/HolidaySale2013.htm?utm_source=December+2012+LabNotes&utm_campaign=LabNotes+Nov+2012&utm_medium=email Of course, Life Science is free all the time, so you can preview it to your heart's content. But if you want to go on, 50% off certainly sweetens the deal. NOTE: all curriculum is in PDF form only, so you'll have to decide what to print yourself. I combed through the downloads, then used a free program called PDFill Tools to extract the pages I wanted to print into separate PDF documents, which I then printed (relatively) cheaply at Staples. Enjoy!

Jay3fer
Just wanted to give this a bump so you could start polishing off your money. We're really enjoying Earth Science, but I'm torn, because we're not officially hs'ing next year due to our move. :-( But I think I should buy the next level anyway - it's only $25 (on sale), I don't have to print it right away, and if nothing else, we could just find some time to read the thing and do a few of the experiments. After I bought last year's, I went through the PDFs extensively with a PDF utility and "combed out" the pages I wanted to print vs those I wanted to read on my Kobo, so our printing charges were pretty reasonable... Hunter
I'm not using this right now, but I do like having it as a back up, just to have. I do sometimes pull it out and use the ESP lessons whenever I temporarily start to obsess over the scientific method. The author frequently has more ESP worksheets tucked away in dark corners of his website. I prefer using this curriculum on a tablet, when I have used it. Neither printing or laptop worked well for me.
Julie Smith
And for those who just want to use the free Life science you can get the free audio version here: http://www.traximages.ca/~inge/mrq/

I'd encourage you to go ahead and get the next level. At the first annual sale, I bought it all and am glad to have it already. We are using the physical science this year and will do chemistry next year.
SunnyDays
Thanks for the reminder! I need to take a look at these. We're just finishing up Life Science, and I think we may get Chemistry, my son thought that looked interesting. As for printing... we just read on the tablet, and do the exercises without writing them down. If there is an occasional page I want him to complete with writing, I just print that page or two. Very easy!
BlessedMom
Thank you so much for sharing this information! We really enjoyed the Life Science!
NittanyJen
Thank you for posting this! I love using Mr Q's stuff as "additional reading" for whatever I am teaching my younger son-- it's very readable, funny, and has good information packed into it. Seeing some things for a second time, and presented differently really helps him to retain it.

happypamama
Thanks for this thread; a friend just asked me if I'd ever heard of it, and I had not. But my quick glancing suggests that it might be perfect for my needs, and since I could use it for both of my older children, that's a fabulous price! I'm bookmarking those lab sheets... we've been pretty casual about science activities so far, but next year I really want to build in that area. Thanks!! :)
