I really like the Cassie dress. If it came in a different color, I think I would be done with this project but Olive just isn't my shade (I'm definitely inot darker and/or cooler shades). But this site does have some very nice choices. Thank you!
thatfirstsip
1. Is lovely, the rest are all perfectly fine. I think you'd regret only the Amazon one; it will look cheaper and more casual in person.
Guest
That Laney Green dress (7) is *amazing* and would look perfect with any of the booties, but I personally like brown booties with green dresses. But I think the fabric of that one really lends itself to boots/booties and I like all of the booties you chose. BTW, I wore booties to a winter wedding with a flowy pants jumpsuit. (I know you said you don’t wear pants). I have issues with dress shoes too and I cannot stand my legs bare. It was a good solution and I liked my outfit.

Ooh, I really love that Cassie dress too. I have a feeling it would probably make me look pregnant because anything that hangs in the front always does, but that dress makes me not care. The only one that would is this one: https://ivycityco.com/products/laney-dress-in-green-watercolor. For boots with this dress, I'd go with: https://www.zappos.com/p/lifestride-prairie-black/product/9309533/color/3 This is my vote as well!! You're going to look great!
Emba
I Vote dress 5, shoes B. But there were a couple of other dresses with similar lines that would also be good, I think.
Emba
The green watercolor dress was another of the ones I thought would work well. i also think boots that are calf high have a better chance of looking good with a dress, but I don’t know if that would be something you want to wear. I’m totally on the side of comfortable over fashionable, though.

MercyA
Maybe these layering tees from Downeast Basics would work? You want something in a nice smooth fabric rather than ribbed. Kosher Casual makes a modest cropped cami if you don't want a full camisole. The trouble I've found with a lot of camis is that they are too low for my comfort. I have some of these and the adjustable straps help with that.
ikslo
Do you have thin arms? Because the sleeves on the green dress look really constrictive to me. I am 100% sure I would find the cuffs to be too tight (for me).

But they looked okay on the plus side model so I'm hoping it won't be an issue. Edited January 6, 2023 by cjzimmer1
