Joanne
I've been promoted to "Site Director" at a local elementary school. That means that instead of assisting, I am in charge of the staff, administration, dealing with YMCA, parents, teachers, custodians, administration. I am responsible for the storeroom, supplies, lesson planning (yes, we really have lesson plans for the after school care). And, of course, the care of the kids according to state and YMCA guidelines. I was one a few years ago, but hired back on at a lower position. It comes with a very modest raise. I'm also assigned to my DH's school; the school were he drops his bus kids off in the am and pm. I get to see him "at work" for a few minutes each morning and he is wanting to help me in the afternoons set up the tables while he waits for his riders. How cool (and from God) is that?? Michelle in AL
Yeah Joanne, That is wonderful! I'm writing because I remember your last post about this job and this switch seems like a much needed blessing. Sounds like it suits your skills better too. Congrats! Lisa R.
if you don't mind me asking. I may have missed the post where you explained the resolution. As I recall, you were dealing with an unreasonable parent... Feel free to ignore if you'd just like to move on from the story, though.
