PeterPan
I’m thinking to make this for a shindig for dd20 and her girlfriends. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/mocha-chocolate-icebox-cake-2237766. What food should I serve with it? Drawing a blank.

cintinative
If they like sweet with sweet you could make a mocha punch. 😃
ktgrok
maybe some cookies? And some milk, coffee, etc. Edited August 22, 2019 by Ktgrok
Lady Marmalade
Oh that looks scrumptious and not too sweet! Maybe a bowl of fresh berries to break up the richness of the icebox cake.

I bought some marinara sauce and I'm going to throw it on some manicotti, maybe a salad. 1 hour ago, Spy Car said: Vanilla washing machine ice cream? alisoncooks
IDK -- my initial thought was coffee or milk -- but I see you want main dishes. Maybe something light since it's such a heavy dessert. Maybe some protein and roast veggies. I'm bookmarking that recipe, though. I might make it for my own birthday in a few weeks!

marbel
I think that dessert would go with pretty much any meal. Unless you were going for a full-on theme (like, when we want an authentic as we can manage Indian feast, we make gulab jamun or kheer for dessert). For that cake, I'd say American food is the theme. But why not that dessert with Italian food?

J-rap
Raspberries and non-sweetened herbal tea. (Mint tea would be good!) Edited August 23, 2019 by J-rap

Now I'm disgusted that I paid for the chocolate chip cookies, because my eye was drawn to those oreos... https://www.target.com/p/oreo-thins-chocolate-cookies-family-size-13-1oz/-/A-53088669 An excuse to make it twice, right?
