maybe some cookies?

And some milk, coffee, etc.

Ooo, that's smart, I'll bet you're right some of these girls drink (coffee).

Well what I meant was a meal, food. I bought some marinara sauce and I'm going to throw it on some manicotti, maybe a salad.

I think that dessert would go with pretty much any meal.  Unless you were going for a full-on theme (like, when we want an authentic as we can manage Indian feast, we make gulab jamun or kheer for dessert). For that cake, I'd say American food is the theme.  But why not that dessert with Italian food?

@PeterPan - have you made this before? I'm not a fan of choc chip cookies...I'm wondering if I could sub in Oreos or something...?

Ooo yeah, I saw these really thin Oreos that I thought would be FABULOUS with this, maybe even better! Now I'm disgusted that I paid for the chocolate chip cookies, because my eye was drawn to those oreos... https://www.target.com/p/oreo-thins-chocolate-cookies-family-size-13-1oz/-/A-53088669  An excuse to make it twice, right? Hehe
