Word Nerd
I forgot to turn off my weekday alarm, so I woke up nice and early.
alisoncooks
Almost 8:30 and mine are still asleep. (In their defense, we've been traveling; Santa came days ago, and we finished opening presents last night. They're wore out. :p)
AmandaVT
DS woke us up at 715 am - perfect timing because the coffee had just finished brewing!
prairiewindmomma
No Santa, and littlest woke up at 3 freaking 30 am ready to open presents. We took turns sitting with her until 8.

maize
So, after saying my kids get up early, they all slept in until 8:00 this morning... :tongue_smilie:
Eliz
My daughters are teens now, 15 and 18. We've never done Santa. Since I have no ability to select the right gifts, they tell me what to buy every year. No surprises for bigger gifts, only stocking stuffers. Since they were little, both girls get up early on Christmas morning regardless and are very excited. We've kept the same traditions even now. They can open one stocking stuffer before breakfast. After breakfast one of the girls reads the Christmas story, then I read The Littlest Angel to them. It's a beloved child's book in this house. Only afterward are gifts opened. G5052
The teens were told to knock on our door at 7am. They did! No Santa here, but they were eager to look in their stocking and open their presents.
HSmomof2
Mine are older and no longer believe in Santa---they were both up at 6:45, ready to open presents.
IsabelC
One woke up early because she wanted to come and have a cuddle with me. The other two slept in. None of them remembered it was Christmas until I reminded them.

Mama Geek
Dd was up about 6:30 which is about an hour early. She was very excited and funny thing is she was most excited to give her cousin a little toy that she specifically picked out for her. That is what she wanted to do first thing.
