lacell
Has anyone compiled a list of math curricula written to the student. I don't mind scripted programs, as long as the script can be read out loud to the student, speaking to that student. Does that make sense? ScoutTN
I don't have a list and don't know what grade level(s) you are looking for, but Math Mammoth is written to the student. My 5th grader does it mostly independently.
OvercomingSchool
Life of Fred definitely falls into that category, too, but some people don't consider it a full curriculum on its own. RightStart Math is also that way, but you have to be involved; it's not a curriculum you can hand over to your kid.
SanDiegoMom
Beast Academy is very advanced but also self teaching. I don't have to teach the concepts, but I do end up sitting by while she works the problems just for extra support.

Zoo Keeper
The Key To.... books are written to the student. The Algebra series has been a lifesaver here. Rod and Staff also has teaching in the student book (4th and up). There is a scripted TM as well, for all levels. Math Mammoth has all the instruction in the student pages. CLE math is also written to the student. Spectrum math workbooks also have brief instructions and worked examples; good for a refresher or additional work. lexi
Life of Fred definitely falls into that category, too, but some people don't consider it a full curriculum on its own. RightStart Math is also that way, but you have to be involved; it's not a curriculum you can hand over to your kid. I would not consider Right Start as written to the student. I use the teacher guide and it tells me exactly how to teach to my student. But I could never hand over the guide and let my child use it even with my help as all the answers and explanations are right there. So I'm not sure how this would work.
