I am back to tackling things once again. It is so very hard getting back into a routine when health issues for 2 people in the family force you to basically just do the basic.

- school

- laundry washed, folded, away

- grocery store

- older 2 kids test for the next belts

- practice my kung fu for my test on Friday ( I haven't tested in over 5 years)

- clean downstairs

- print some documents out at dh's work

- quick clean my room

- park with kids

- make chicken broth

Monday Tackle:

Write more in my NaNoWriMo novel - done! (might write more later, didn't quite meet the quota)

Wash sheets cat peed on - done!

Unload dishwasher - done

ground beef out of freezer - done

To be done today:

Force 16 yo to do his own laundry

Check up on chemistry and Latin for 16 yo and Latin for 14 yo. (I never checked last week)

Do regular academic schedule today

housekeeping chores:  good sweeping of main floor and basement steps

dust upstairs and have kids pick up their rooms, we'll probably do the actual vacuuming tomorrow.

Plan for RE class and for Latin classes

Take a walk

meatloaf and potatoes for dinner

Clean up kitchen completely after dinner (I always collapse and it only ever gets half finished)

Clean kitchen

General pick up for kids

Check bills and bank

Talk to realtor

Be annoyed at pickiness of Dh. Just kidding, a little.

Find my calendar....

Find crockpot...

Good morning

- tidy house- round 1 done

- laundry- not enough for a load yet

- school work- read some

- go to a different town (that has a Kmart) to get snow pants for dd2 (be damned if I'm going to spend $50 on snow pants that she will only wear for one season, the ones I'm getting are $12) and perhaps a new pair or 2 of PJ pants for me since all of my favorites I have had to throw out due to holes- going after dd2's nap- have to go another day dd2 is cutting 6 teeth and is miserable.

- take trash out to road!!!! (Must remember to do)- done :D

- dinner- picking up pizza- done

- baths- done

- bedtime routine- getting there

- anything else I get done- figured out craft for dd1's party (snow globes), dh came home tonight (wasn't due home until tomorrow night), the girls and I are happy

Good Morning!

I've accomplished lots in the last week so today....I'm decorating the inside of the house for Christmas.  I know it's early, but we usually do it after Thanksgiving and I want to sneak down and surprise our kids in SC if we can, so I'm doing it early.    Deep cleaning the main floor and decorating will be my day.  Also cooking a yummy dinner.

DS is doing about 95% of his school work on his own and he doesn't need me hovering over him.

Have a great day!

So I'm back to my usual routines after last week's successful science festival for the elementary kids in our homeschooling group :) I had 32 kids in grades 3-5 compete in 7 different Elementary Science Olympiad events (Div A, for those who know SO). We're hoping to create a farm-team-type system for our group's Div A, Div B, and Div C teams. I am invested since I coach both Div A and Div C

So today looks like this:

--dd Arabic; gym training dor me

--dh Chinese 5-7

--dd ballet 7:30-9

--daily and Monday things

--laundry

--send AP syllabi to WTM friends

--email my high school team about event choices (have some conflicts)

--make more potstickers

--pick herbs to dry

--pull more carrots

--quick grocery run to closest store (need lemon and dishwashing liquid)

--post pictures and video of Saturday's events to FB group

--order board books for Chinese friends' babies (one is in China w his mom while his dad finishes his contract at the university; other will be born in NYC in a few months)

hjffkj, I'm sorry about the health issues!

Jen, I'm sorry about your pet, too!

My friend's tutoring session was reschedule to tomorrow.

Dd surprised me with a phone call.

We ended up playing Carcassonne and Catan, so my lists and grading haven't happened yet.

I tried to post about my rotten day with my sucky computer earlier, but the computer bombed while I was typing it.  :P

So this is how my day went.

  • Kids up & out to school.
  • Some cleaning for the maids, who did not end up coming.
  • Work.  Including an unscheduled conference call before I had finished my first cup of coffee.
  • Decide to go get a new computer, but must finish urgent work first.
  • Lie down and take unexpected nap.  Wake up too late to go to the computer store (kids coming home too soon).
  • Call Geek Squad.  Geek squad unable to help remotely.  Make appointment to meet at Best Buy.
  • Kids get changed and pack their homework into the car and off to Best Buy.
  • Geek Squad unable to fix computer.  Need to safe my files to an external drive, delete everything, and exchange for a new computer.
  • Grocery shopping.
  • Buy fish food at the pet store.
  • Dinner on the run.
  • Kids to gymnastics.
  • Kids to bed.
  • Work on configuring computer and loading software AGAIN.  Which I'm in the middle of right now.  Not sure I will be successful using all of the software on a 2nd computer.
  • I still have a project that is due today.  It is 11:13pm here.  Hmm....
