Quiver0f10 Posted September 6, 2008 Share Posted September 6, 2008 I have macular degeneration( was diagnosed 14 years ago) and I got a bad report from the doctor this week. I know God is bigger than this disease and I'd like to ask you all to lift this up to the Lord; that I have no vision changes now and in the future. Dh is now on the glaucoma watch list...that worries me too. He has to go quite often to get check ups. I'm glad that the optometrist wanted to send him to specialists. Will pray for you! Right now it's dry, but what I didn't know, and learned this week, is there are 2 kinds of dry; hard and soft. Soft is the worse kind of dry to have and is what I have. Soft is bad because the drusen is larger and tends to clump together which is what = vision loss. Soft also has a higher % of risk to lead to wet.
