Laurie4b Posted December 25, 2014 Share Posted December 25, 2014 So the boys who were supposed to clean up the kitchen last night.... didn't. :glare: This morning, I found Romaine still out that had been washed and torn into pieces for salad. I know that the tears offer opportunity for bacteria to enter. Would you eat it anyway? I can probably manage a small salad tonight without it. Think about the lettuce in the grocery store--it often is not in a refrigerated section of the produce department. Unless you were doing something like washing chicken and the lettuce was in the way of the spray, I would definitely eat it unless it had discoloured badly.
