What series should I offer next? He loves animals, mysteries, etc. I want something that he will love and that is at the same level, or a bit higher, than MTH. Thanks! After MTH he read Beverly Cleary books, Roald Dahl books, the My Father's Dragon trilogy, the Pippi Longstocking books, and the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books. Twits, BFG, Fantastic Mr. Fox, all by Roald Dahl, will be a little step up but really good (funny, British humor). small chapter books not in a series--I think it's important to get them out of the series mode, or that's all they want to read.
