helena
My 11yo just finished Poppy and we're working our way through Tumtum and Nutmeg. What else is out there with mice characters?

Ellie
The Rescuers (series, NOT Disney). I think they have chapters, lol. I don't categorize books that way. :-)

Julie Smith
I see lots of good things mentioned. When we got pet rats two? Years ago I asked on this board, "books about rats". So if you need more suggestions just go searching.
tammyw
We are currently reading Ben and Me (about Benjamin Franklin). It's great!
alisoncooks
These are probably on the young side for 11, but The Lighthouse Family series (Cynthia Rylant) - has other creatures, some kid mice are "adopted."
Ellie
We are currently reading Ben and Me (about Benjamin Franklin). It's great! There's a "Ben and Me" Disney cartoon feature; you can watch it on YouTube. And if you like Ben and Me (the book), you will probably also like Mr. Revere and I, which is an "autobiography" of Paul Revere's horse. :-)

I couldn't find the thread, but I did find A Rat's Tale on our shelves. :) Some of these books are too easy for her but sometimes it's fun to read a book in one afternoon.
