Kareni
I spotted this when I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday. The Read-Aloud Handbook: Seventh Edition by Jim Trelease One of the reviewers comments that at least 40% of the book contains new content. This is a wonderful book for any parent and a favorite baby shower gift that I like to give. Regards, Kareni

Mothersweets
Oooh, thanks for the heads up! I was just looking at my older copy last week and wondering if he was going to put out a new one.
Maus
Cool! I thought he announced a few years back that there would be no more updates. Glad he changed his mind. Just added it to my wishlist!
indigomama
I pre-ordered this from Amazon, and got it last week or the week before. I am about 1/3 of the way through and I really like it. He says, that the majority of the 40% of new information is about the digital age: e-readers, computers, iphones, etc. I would absolutely recommend this to new parents and teachers. Stellalarella
Thank you very much for the heads up. So, with 40% new content, was some older content edited out, or just new added?
nmoira
Thanks! I picked it up at the library today. It might sound silly, but I've been looking forward to seeing how everyone is doing.

kubiac
Thank you very much for the heads up. So, with 40% new content, was some older content edited out, or just new added? There are definitely cuts to make room for new material. He added a chapter on boys and reading, among other things.
