MrsBanjoClown
I just got a faint positive! I got another one about 1:30am yesterday. I had already decided to tell dh in a Valentine's Day card. I bought the card and printed up a poem to put inside it and was going to tape the test inside. Now, I don't know if I want to wait 10 days to tell dh! I mean I do, but it's hard to not tell him. I'm thinking if I wait the test will be darker and so he won't be as skeptical. What do you think? Give him the card now or wait unti V-Day? ETA: We have been trying for just over a year. Melissa in Australia
Congratulations I always told my DH as soon as I knew.
MrsBanjoClown
Yeah, I couldn't wait anymore. I gave him the card. There were happy tears! Now to figure out how and when to tell the boys and the rest of our family
LucyStoner
I could never wait. I needed his support in those early days and weeks and months as we hoped against hope for a sticky pregnancy (history of recurrent miscarriages). I would tell him now but if you can wait and want to, I don't see why that would be a bad idea either.

Now to figure out how and when to tell the boys and the rest of our family Share the love with the rest of them on Valentine's Day? Idk how old your boys are, but when we found out about #3, we made tshirts for ours. Oldest got one that said "I'm the BIGGEST brother" and middle got one that said "I'm the BIG brother" and then we had a onsie that we painted "And I'M the BABY brother!" on. We gave them the shirts and let them open the onsie a few weeks after our OB/GYN said that all was good. Big hit.

kewb
Congrats. I am inpressed with your ability to wait. I would call dh right after I took the test. Truly, I am not the one to tell a secret too.

kristi26
I always told my DH that I was late and needed to test. We tested together so he knew immediately. Congrats on your news!!
Kathryn
Both times he knew before me and insisted I test because he thought something was up. Both times i thought he was wrong. I've not been able to do any cute surprises.

MommaOfalotta
Congratulations!!! How exciting! I took the test with dh waiting downstairs. He was always the first person to know! I couldn't imagine keeping it from him. I would probably burst! So happy for you!
wapiti
Congrats!! Glad you told him - I think that's important. Personally, I would wait as long as possible to tell the kids. *As long as possible*, even if that means well into the second trimester. Kids tend to have very big mouths and no concept of time. theYoungerMrsWarde
The test itself isn't going to look very good in 10 days. I'd give it to him now, or do a new test for the card taken on the 14th.
kesmom
Congrats! I'm glad you went ahead and told him. With my current pregnancy, we told the bigger kids with a scavenger hunt. They LOVED it.
