Impish
Keeping in mind that I'm pregnant, and therefore subject to irrational cravings... Would it be wrong to fry up a pkg of bacon and chow down? I can't pretty it up by making sandwiches, b/c I don't have any GF bread.
I.Dup.
Nah. Share it with the kids. You don't want to clog your arteries all in one fell swoop. People have been known to eat far worse.
Eagle
Fry up the whole package (or cook it in the oven like I do) then freeze a bunch for future cravings. Which reminds me... I need to go get *something* from my freezer... :)
Kirch
Bacon. I have bacon in the freezer. It's calling me ...
nono
Honey! I eat 3-6 slices of bacon a day. I'm not pregnant. My triglicerides were 56 last month when the doc checked. ENJOY!!!!
Impish
Wolf told me I didn't want to get 'pudgy'. I caught sight of myself, standing sideways, in the large bathroom mirror today. Sucked in my gut, and nothing much moved. I think the 'pudgy' train has come and went.
BrookValley.
This is coming from a vegetarian, mind you, but...fry that bacon. Girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. My pregnancy drug of choice is Tabasco, but hey, whatever gets the job done.

Kathryn
Eat the bacon. You don't want a skinny baby.
BrookValley.
Then you definitely don't want to know how much I just consumed with dinner. I use like ketchup--lots of it--and I just had a veggie burger and oven fries. I went through half a bottle in one sitting. I think I might have a problem. Lol
MindyD
When it comes to bacon, the answer is always yes. Should I eat the bacon? Yes! Should I get another piece of bacon? Yes! Would bacon go well with this dish? Yes!

lavender's green
I ate a half cup of Bearnaise sauce for dinner while pregnant, and felt 100% amazing for the next few days. Chow down!
Miss Mousie
I had the bacon. And shared the bacon. Wolf is such a whiner. :tongue_smilie: Good girl! There is nothing that can't benefit from a bit of bacon ... including bacon itself. Wait a minute ... this wasn't Canadian bacon, was it? :tongue_smilie:

celticmom
Have you seen the recent Iron Chef Redemtion episode? One of the chefs cooked bacon wrapped bacon.
JeneralMom
Bacon dipped into hollandaise sauce. The bacon here in Australia is different than North American bacon (I woud call it smoked ham, not bacon because it doesn't come from the belly area. More similar to back-bacon) and doesn't really "do" anything for me so I have been suffering sans bacon. Now Hollandaise I whip up at a moment's notice and if anyone looks at me funny I just tell them the "baby" wanted some and they leave me alone. Now I want bacon :drool5: I've heard rumours there is a deli about an hour away that caters to North Americans and makes their own bacon. May have to take a wee drive down there. unsinkable
regular bacon, but bought, cooked and eaten in Canada. Bacon dipped in syrup... :drool5: I thought I heard with one ear that the missing maple syrup from quebec has been found? Not that it's anywhere near as good as NY maple syrup... But it's probably nice ya'll got yours back.
