Unicorn.
I need ideas for my 16 yo. He doesn't need any pocket knives (has at least 3), camping or scout gadgets. He's been in scouts 10 years and he has it all! Doesn't need a flashlight.... I'm at a loss. He doesn't really want food/candy or gift certificates. Doesn't use his Mp3 since he discovered Pandora and bought himself a sub-woofer and speakers.... So far, I have: airsoft bbs berts bees lip balm a can of silly string bacon flavored gumballs bacon flavored spray (air freshener) I need about 4 or 5 more things ( I might get him a package of combos- those chip things,) He likes anything war/history or military related. Plans to Major in History, and join the Marines after college (he's currently in MCJROTC at ps) Likes science stuff too. ( I didn't find anything for him at ThinkGeek). Oh, does anyone know where I can get camo fuzzy socks for men? He might like that...

Belacqua
Black Pearl erasers (excellent erasers and they're manly-man black!) New compass (circle-drawing, not direction-finding, though that would be good, too) Playing cards (they get taken to summer camp, happily used to death, and replaced at Christmas) Hand sanitizer
SerenityNow
My teen is getting: a T-shirt (rolled up tight) a paperback book a couple of inexpensive dvds a couple of unusual flavored sodas in glass bottles earbuds duct tape a pair of flannel pj pants bubblegum some glow-in-the-dark stars for his ceiling :)
Catwoman
New compass (circle-drawing, not direction-finding, though that would be good, too) I like the "real" compass idea! I have no idea what my ds12 would do with it, because he's not exactly Mr. Outdoorsman, but he had one when he was younger and he loved that thing! SerenityNow
Dang, that's a BIG stocking  Sad, isn't it? I made stockings for the whole family when the kids were toddlers, and didn't realize they were *way* too big. And now, of course, they don't want to part with them. In a way it's easier though.... the t-shirt and pj pants will fill up most of it, and then the little things will make it look like it's stuffed to overflowing. Besides, I get more chocolate in mine this way! ;)

Jenny in Florida
Stockings have a way of getting out of hand around here, especially since I started the silly idea of theming them a number of years ago. This year, though, we've pledged to try and keep things simple. So, I think my son is getting: - iTunes gift card. - earbuds. - Barnes and Noble gift card. - new toothbrush. - gum, candy, edible treats. A can of Pringles takes up a nice amount of space in an over-large stocking! - silly socks (a family tradition).
