Shellydon
I miss $40 or less jeans. They seem to be impossible to find, especially if you need tall sizes.
Guest
Kohl's has Levis on sale right now in the $40 range. I thought that was still expensive, though. Edited, $39 isn't really $30.
justLisa
I shop at American Eagle outfitters. Their jeans are under $40 and they have lengths

Dory
I feel for ya. I have the same problem. Up here I have issues even finding jeans in my length, I usually have to order them in from somewhere else.

Up here I have issues even finding jeans in my length, I usually have to order them in from somewhere else. I just ordered 3 pair from Zappos and ended up sending them all back. :) I hate shopping. Ibbygirl
I buy mine at the thrift store. They always have tons and range anywhere from 2 bucks to 20 depending on the brand. The 20 dollars ones are those super expensive brands that are like 200 dollars new. Crazy! I just take the measurements of a pair of jeans that fit and then measure the ones I like in the thrift store. No complaints. :)
redsquirrel
I buy Lee Riders at Walmart for 18-24$. They have 'ankle' length, which is great for me because I am a petite. However, more than half the time when I go to Walmart looking for those specific jeans they don't have them. I don't go to Walmart very often, maybe three times a year, and often it is just to see if they have the jeans I like. Maybe I will switch to Kohl's. They also have jeans at LL Bean for around 35$. I don't buy their jeans any more because they stopped making the ones I liked.

We have stinky thrift stores around here.
Sharilynn29
I do almost all my clothes shopping at resale shops. Goodwill, Salvation Army, Plato's Closet, numerous local shops. I pay between $5-$15 for expensive brand name jeans.
Ibbygirl
I have never been able to find jeans I like at Goodwill. We have stinky thrift stores around here. Bummer! :( We have lots of good ones where I live. Some are pricier than others but you can always find really good designer clothes there lots of times with tags still on! I buy almost all of our clothes at the thrift store.

HollyDay
Even Plato's Closet can be pricey.......I try to catch sales at Old Navy or Lee Jeans at Khols
Kelly1730
I would pay $$ for jeans, IF I could find ones that fit well.
Holly
I bought a pair on clearance for $13 at Walmart last week. ;)
KidsHappen
We shop at Kohl's (many different brands), Old Navy, Plato's Closet, Goodwill, JC Penny's, Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshall's and I even let me dd's get a couple od pairs from AE or Hollister athough those are closer to $40 I personally have better luck finding my size second hand. I recognize my favorites and know just what size will fit without even trying them on. I go over them with a very sharp eye, though - no rips, stains, or patches worn thin. Even with high standards, I manage to find what I am looking for, not every trip but enough to keep myself in jeans at a reasonable price. blondeviolin
I prefer jeans from the Buckle, but they are $$$$. So, I check eBay and occasionally they have seconds. Usually I can hardly tell what's wrong, but they're half-price or more. Now if I could just find maternity jeans that don't drive me crazy. Sometimes you gotta get outta the yoga pants, y'know?! laundrycrisis
I miss $40 or less jeans. They seem to be impossible to find, especially if you need tall sizes. LL Bean has a style I like for $45, and it does come in tall (not that I need tall). I like the stretch boot cut jean. Dad 4 Boys
This may not be helpful, but I wear Wrangler relaxed fit from Target. I think they were something like $14.97 when I bought them last.
Shellydon
The problem with Target and WalMart is nothing comes in tall or long lengths. I will keep on looking. I just cannot justify spending $150 on jeans that little kids will wipe their noses on.
Mommyof4ks
Academy has some for $15 or so, and they are cheaper on sale. I have found some nice jeans at Goodwill for $5 too.
Crimson Wife
I had to try on a zillion pairs recently to find one that fit me well, but I finally did get one at the GAP. They were originally about $70 IIRC but were marked down to $40. The store I went to had ankle/petite, regular, and tall sizes.
