Bad Morning

Recommended Posts

Let's see.

I've managed to tick off my union rep. What I *thought* was an offer to make his life easier by dealing w/something myself was taken as my not having confidence in him. He offered to not represent my case anymore.

I've emailed and vm'd him, apologizing.

Then, just in case things weren't upsetting enough, while I was helping Tazzie w/his reading, Princess decided to stick the metal end of a pencil into an electrical socket. A pop and flash of blue later...

Thank God it was a wooden pencil and didn't conduct electricity. She's fine...I, on the other hand, am ready to throw up and burst into tears, and can't stop shaking.

Wolf's gotten his crim check done, waiting to hear on the rest of everything.

Spoke to my case mgr, she was b!tchy, my cheque was mailed this am, so now I have to wait til tomorrow or Wed to get pd.

I really can't handle anything else going wrong today, and it's not even noon yet.

I'm so sorry. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

We are displaced and at the library again. We will likely be going to barnes and noble soon.

I am praying that your rep loses the sensitivity and hears your heartfelt apology -- you certainly cannot do more than that.

I know how you are feeling at least emotionally. Praying for good news for Wolf!

My blog might make you laugh today.....or smirk.......or not want to throw yourself out of a window.:grouphug:

Thanks everyone.

My arm's kicking up, I've taken my meds and heading off to bed shortly.

I'm still freaking shaking.

I just can't get that pop and blue light out of my head, and what could have happened if she'd used a metal utensil, instead of a wooden pencil.

DD11 used metal in the outlet when she was three years old. She used one of those metal pull chains that has links so you can adjust the length. She was upstairs in the really big house we lived in at the time -- we were one level below. The floor was carpeted. We heard a bang - like an explosion -- we ran upstairs. There was smoke, dd had been launched about 6 feet away from where the chain had literally become one with the rug right at the outlet -- the chain had melted into the rug - which was black and smoking. She was scared you know what-less. We were stunned THAT was all that had happened.

Go to bed!:grouphug:

I knew a family that had their then 4 yo stick keys in an electrical socket. She had no pulse. The mom did CPR in the back of the car while Dad drove...they lived in the country, so it was faster for them to drive than to wait on an ambulance.

They were very lucky, and CPR was successful.

So, of course, that's what went through my head...

I'll be heading to bed when either Wolf gets home from dropping off his driver's abstract, or Diva back from her dog walk. Boo's fed and happy, Tazzie's watching tv, Princess is having quiet time in my bed...But obviously I can't go lay down until there's someone to be w/ the two boys.

Hope you're getting some rest, Impish.

When I was about the same age as Princess, I stuck a pair of scissors in the electrical outlet. Blessedly, I chose the ones with the plastic covered handles; we had two pair. The other pair was all metal, no plastic handles.

My parents were MAD, LOL.

Resting didn't work so well.

My pain meds make me both nauseated and itchy.

On a good note, heard back from the union rep, have everything straightened out w/him.

Wolf finished his crim check, driver's abstract, now it's a matter of them checking his references...he was told that he's the #1 candidate, and that we'll know by the end of the wk.

So, praying everything goes well w/the references (that they get ahold of them, etc), and get an offer letter by Friday.

Of course, he gets this job, it'll mean getting into another pain clinic, new specialists, etc, etc, etc...I'm not even going to put my head there right now.

However, I do have an appt w/my pain specialist next wk, so the timing is awesome in terms of getting a referral. He can take forever to get an appt w/...esp since he leaves the country to serve 6 wk missions x2 a yr.
