MariannNOVA
Huge Thank you to all who helped with my acting resume questions. DS11 auditioned last night for a role in a pilot for a children's tv show with a Christian theme. The phone call just came and he got the part! Thank you all again -- I know that I walked in feeling that even without any experience, we wer giving it our best shot with a presentable resume and head shots. There is a long road ahead and there is no guarantee they will even get past the pilot stage, but this has been a great experience.

catz
I am not sure about talented.......what I hear most is: He's quite a character. Congrats to your son! :thumbup:I'm sure he'll learn a bunch and have a great time. My oldest is fairly new to theater/acting and is also quite the character. :tongue_smilie: He's playing Hansel in Hansel and Gretel this weekend on stage. He's done 4 shows since last summer and I'm really impressed at how much these kids are required to step up to the plate. Especially for a lead role. It's a great outlet for him! I'm sure he'd love to audition for something like that.
ma23peas
I truly believe those called to acting are talented (most anyhow! :)) and it is a gift to be able to perform in front of others!! Awesome!!!

Awesome!!! :iagree: And I definitely agree that it is a gift to be able to perform in front of others -- in fact, we have told ds it is a privilege to have the opportunity to perform in front of others.:001_smile:

DS has never auditioned for anything -- it wasn't even on his radar. It is the old 'someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone' recommended him -- and came to me and asked me if he would audition. If this was something I had read about, I probably would have ignored it. Good luck to your son!:)
